I found ""Jewelers on the Square"" on-line and had found a setting that I though would be perfect for my Mom's 1.77 ct diamond. I went to see Gerald the week before Christmas, and he and Ginger helped me pick a setting that would show off my Mom's beautiful diamond that my Daddy had given her. (My parents were married almost 60 years). Gerald set 4 accent diamonds, sized and set my Mom's diamond in the ring I chose in less than 5 hours. When I came back to pick it up, it took my breath away and brought tears to my eyes. It was more than beautiful; it was dazzling!! My son's thought it was the most beautiful ring they had seen. All I can do is sing Gerald's and Ginger's praises! If you want outstanding results, go see ""Jewelers on the Square"". They can give you a gift beyond your wildest dreams. Thank you Gerald and Ginger!! more

I took some Native American jewelry in to get an idea of the value and Gerald was SO helpful! The owners are so very nice AND knowledgeable. I will be taking more items into them soon. You can't go wrong stopping in here. They have awesome and unusual items for sale. more

I love Jeweler on the Square! They have a wonderful selection of quality jewelry. Gerald and Ginger are wonderful owners who go out of their way to befriend their clientele. I have never been there that I did not feel welcomed. Going there is like stepping back in time to when you were greated by name when you visited after only having been there a couple of times. I cannot imagine anyone else creating my jewelry pieces except Gerald from now on. He knows exactly what I like and goes out of his way to ensure that he can provide it. Thank you for a job well done, Gerald and Ginger! more

Absolutely amazing experience. I walked in to Jewelry just to look and see what they had available as far as their diamond ring selection. I fell in love with a ring almost immediately! Ginger informed me that she and Gerald could re-size my ring and do a rhodium dip all while I waited. So, I wandered about the place for maybe 20 minutes tops, and successfully didn't go nuts and buy everything I wanted (there are so many beautiful pieces from paintings to knives to Asian artifacts to Native American jewelry! And everything in between!) Once my ring was finished, It was so beautiful! I highly recommend Jewelry on the Square for any type of jewelry repair, appraisal or purchase, and of course, for your antiquing needs. more

NOW I have a jeweler I trust 3/13/2012

I went in to replace the aquamarine in my engagement ring (it has fallen out TWICE and reset and now finally LOST) (I bought it at New Jewelers in Gwinnett STAY AWAY FROM THEM). Ginger brought out tray after tray after tray of precious stones for me to look through until we found the right stone, and in the process found two perfectly matched aqua's that will be custom made in to earrings!! THANKS you guys. more

Beautiful Jewelery, Great Service!! 2/25/2012

I have been shopping with Jeweler on the square for the past two years. Every time I go in, Gerald and Ginger are always friendly and helpful. Gerald is very up front, honest, and makes no bones about the quality and pricing of all of his items. Many people may find him aggressive or ""rude"", but I find him to be refreshing and honest. He is always willing to work with your budget and accommodate your needs. Ginger is a very attentive and knowledgeable salesperson, I have always found her to be helpful and friendly. I have sold gold and jewelry to Gerald and I am looking forward to the purchase of my engagement ring this week! I would not have chosen any other place to buy. Thanks to everyone there for making the jewelery buying process fun, easy, and personal! more

Always a Great Experience at Jeweler on the Square 2/23/2012

For the last seven years I have been purchasing jewelery here. He and his staff are extremely helpful, and their jewelery is unique and beautiful. Gerald is always honest and forthright about making a deal. When I decided I wanted to get a new ring instead of one I had bought there a few years back, he and Linda were thorough and helpful not only in finding the new ring but also in working a deal of exchange for me. My friends and I absolutely love Jeweler on the Square! I will be back! more

Beautiful Wedding Ring 2/13/2012

I recently went into Jeweler on the Square to have my wedding ring sized and also to replace a missing diamond. Nine years ago, my husband and I picked out my wedding ring. The associate, Linda, was so helpful. She remembered my three favorite rings so that when my husband came back in, he could pick one to give me when we exchanged our vows. Now, nine years later, I needed to have it fixed so that I could once again wear it proudly. Gerald did such a great job! The ring looks new again! more

Just a terrible experience 1/5/2012

My fiance and I purchased an engagement ring from Jeweler on the Square and intended to buy the matching wedding band, which we placed on hold. Now, from the beginning we experienced difficulty getting Gerald's associates to order the new mounting for our stone without several(3)reminders over a month and a half, though it eventually got done. We love the engagement ring and were happy enough to put any mild annoyance aside. The place was disorganized, often closed at hours, ect but no really big deal. We placed the matching wedding band on hold, intending to make two separate payments. We were assured that this was no problem and under no circumstances would the ring be sold. On Christmas eve I called to make sure the ring was on hold, in my name and informed the, frankly scatter-brained, yet sweet associate I would be in the day after Xmas to make a payment. I was again assured my ring was on hold in my name. I did go by on the 26th around 3pm to pay, only to find the shop closed. No answer on the phone. Ok, no big deal...day after a holiday. Next day, 4pm closed. Well, on the morning of the 31st my fiance' received a call from the same associate with whom I spoke informing her that her ring had just been sold. After a tearful call from my fiance' I immediately called and spoke to the associate, who claimed no recollection of our previous conversation(a week prior.) After reminding her of several points we had spoken about, she did recall and, to give her credit, was gracious enough to let me voice my EXTREME displeasure. We're Marietta born and bred people from generations of Mariettans and I just hate that this experience marred my view of a corner of the Square on which I grew up. These folks were nice. They mean well. They should, under no circumstances be trusted with anything important or meaningful to anyone. This is the example of how not to operate a small, local business. I advise anyone who sees this to STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! more

This is my go-to jeweler! 12/27/2011

I have been doing business with Gerald for about 13 years now, and during that time, I have probably spent $20k there. The store is set up in a way that rewards time and patience. There is so much to see and almost always, I end up with something that I didn't notice on my first pass through the cases. Go through the cases slowly and multiple times--I bet you'll find what you want! Some of my most precious pieces came from Gerald's. My other half knows I like nothing better than a bender on antique jewelry for birthdays and Christmas. There are only two people working there,so sometimes you might have to wait a few minutes. If you expect 3 salespeople to run to you as soon as you walk in, this is not the place for you. If you want fine antique and handmade jewelry at great prices and someone who will tell the truth about the items he sells, Gerald is your guy. more

Great place to do a custom design! 10/11/2011

My fiance and I got our wedding bands here and we couldn't be happier. His ring was a custom design and Gerald made sure that everything came out perfectly! Gerald and Ginger made the process so much more personal than I could have asked. I wouldn't go anywhere else to get a custom ring done because the product you end up with here is unbeatable at the price and service. more

Charming Jeweler Saves the Day! 8/5/2011

I love vintage and estate jewelry and Gerald has quite the offering. I've been going to him for about 3 years now to repair some of my most dear items and he does it with grace and skill. In fact, today, he repaired a bracelet of mine that I thought was ruined forever. And he did it with his bare hands! I also took him up on his suggestion to update the design a bit, and I couldn't be happier. If you love vintage jewelry, or have a sentimental piece that needs a little TLC, take it to Gerald. He is wonderful and will repair each piece as if it were his own. The girls in the shop are super fun too! more

Great Customer Service! 7/31/2011

I bought an engagement ring and wedding band from an estate auction and have been looking for a jeweler experienced in estate jewelry to appraise them and do some sizing. I visited a few other jewelers who were not very helpful and had high prices. Luckily a co-worker recommended Jeweler on the Square. I was able to wait while Gerald appraised, cleaned and sized my rings for me (the other jewelers wanted me to leave my rings with them) and the price was very fair. While I waited I enjoyed chatting with Gerald and Ginger about antiques, houses and their puppy. They were very friendly and helpful and I will definitely be back. more

They are great 7/9/2011

Vintage Art and Jewelery at it's finest 7/5/2011

I love Geralds Jewelery! I am a snob when it comes to art deco, I love it and can't get enough. Geralds is the best place for reasonable prices, and superb quality. When I buy from Gerald I feel secure knowing that I am not buying junk. Gerald is very picky about what he buys so you can be assured that the ""junque"" you buy from Gerald and Ginger will be the very best available at the best possible price. more

Great Customer Service 6/18/2011

This is the most helpful jeweler I've met in a long time. I just wanted a minor repair - nothing he was going to make a real profit on. Not only did he give me a very good price, he fixed it while I waited. The other stores I tried in the area told me I'd have to leave it for 2 weeks. It took Gerald 5 minutes and I didn't have to waste time going back to pick it up. You have a fan, Gerald. more

WORST SERVICE, BAD QUALITY, RUDE OWNER 6/2/2011

Stay away from this store. The owner, Gerald, is the rudest man ever. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer before in my life. more

Rude to customers 5/31/2011

Have been in twice and both times the guy was so rude ! The first trip a couple making conversation asked him about his dog his reply was so rude . A month or so later went up for the farmers Market and went in again. The young lady informed me the rings were half off. I had found one on the earlier visit that I was interested in. Well guess what the half off price was the same as the original price a month earlier. When I inquired why he were off on me. I'm all for supporting the Independent shop owners but not when they don't appreciate it. The ring I looked at you could walk into any big box store and pay the same price. His prices are not Estate $$$. So if you want to give your $$$ to rude store owners then this is your store !!! more

Great Store, Great Service, Great Experience!! 5/11/2011

I was looking for a creative and honest jeweler in Marietta,Georgia to help me redesign a ring for my daughter's college graduation gift. I feel so fortunate to have found Jeweler on the Square, Gerald and his staff. more

Gerald was fantastic! 4/24/2011

When my fianc?e and I wondered in for just a simple finger sizing, we knew not of the amazingness of this place. We just wanted sizes so that we could then purchase our engagement and wedding rings from Etsy. In talking to Gerald, he had us thinking about our future purchases and how he could not only beat that price, but custom make unique rings. We were blown away by the selection of jewels, and my fianc?e picked out a massive, indescribable sapphire... it made her breathless and weak in the knees. I knew this was a solid investment, since Gerald guaranteed us free check-ups. Can't get that online. His price was substantially lower than the one online, and again, the jewel took her breath away. I can't wait to get the ring in! I will only recommend this place to all my friends. Gerald and his crew are amazing. HAND CRAFTED JEWELERY! Love it. more
