I have their falafel several times a 6/5/2012

I have their falafel several times a week. Many years ago I spent about 9 weeks in Israel and ate falafel there everyday. For me, Jerusalem's falafel is the only one in the Twin Cities that compares. more

Jerusalem's rules!! 5/3/2009

I live in the neighborhood and it really is a shame I don't come here more often. The food is great and reasonably priced, the servers are fast... I am happy to support local businesses such as this. (I can't get down with people who hate on Jerusalem's. Sayin'...!) Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely little place sometime. Pros: DELICIOUS food, great, fast service more

bad service, bland food, unhygienic 4/26/2009

this past friday night me and my husband got to jerusalems hoping to have a nice night, it took the waitress almost 20 minutes to fill our glasses. she had about 6 tables.. so there is no excuse, the food was bland, confusing since its middle eastern. they need to spice things up. Pros: the scarved ceiling Cons: almost everything more

Great Middle Eastern Food 4/16/2009

A great place for lunch or dinner. The food is authentic Middle Eastern, delicious and reasonably priced. The wait staff is friendly, helpful and very competent. If you are lucky enough to catch the owner, Sal Azem, you will find him to be a great host and interesting conversationalist, if you want to talk. He?s from Jerusalem and knows great Middle Eastern food. My family and friends have eaten at this establishment for years and have never been disappointed. Pros: Food is delicious and authentic. Wait staff very pleasant. more

best middle easter food in the cities, hands down. 6/27/2008

The food is so good! The waitresses are less formal than at a lot of other places, but that makes them a lot of fun too. They're friendly and humorous, which I always appreciate, especially when dining solo. I don't think i've ever had a stoned waitress, but if she was, she still did a fine job. The prices are low, and you get a TON of food, get ready for left overs. There is almost never a wait for seating, and the patio has even been cleaned up! Pros: Usually really fast service, sweet waitresses, and authentic food. Cons: If you catch them on a bad day the patio can be a mess, but is really nice otherwise!! more

WHAT HAPPENED? 9/22/2007

I have been to Jerusalem's in the past and found everything about it wonderful, the charm, the service, the belly dancer and most importantly the food. But we went tonight to find one overworked (but reasonably qualified ) waitress that had been left to basically run the joint on her own. I don't know who was cooking but the food was under spiced, and the bread was stale. To top it off it seems as if they have lost their liquor license and we couldn't even wash it down with a nice glass of wine. We were really disappointed! Pros: Still, cute inside, outside was only nice because of the weather Cons: Entire place in disrepair, patio furnature dirty more

Good food + terrible waitress = Jerusalem's 5/9/2007

We visited Jerusalem's on a Wednesday for lunch and must have gotten the same ""possibly stoned, inattentive, blonde/brown haired waitress with glasses"" the last review referred to. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet she took forever to bring us menus and waters, repeatedly ignored requests for coffee, and behaved in a manner suggesting we were bothering her. I would be very surprised if the manager or owner has not received numerous complaints about this waitress. On the flip side, however, the food was plentiful and tasty. Pros: parking, food Cons: horrible waitress more

Great flavor, bad service, expensive 1/29/2007

I have to say this is some of the best Greek/Middle Eastern food I've tried in town. However, I think our waitress was stoned and may not return because of that. She was slow, unattentive, not helpful and took our wine samples away from us. The other waitress did a better job with our table than our waitress did. I hate to say it since we're usually big tippers, but we had to stiff her - it was that bad. The atmosphere is nice and the belly dancer is excellent. However, I felt the prices were way to high for the amount of food we got. I guess I'm more used to dining in the authentic restaurants with less atmosphere and paying those prices. I would highly recommend this place, but the blonde/brown haired waitress with glasses will ruin your experience. Pros: Flavors are excellent, atmosphere Cons: Bad server, expensive more

Romantic, Cultural, Best Value and Atmosphere! 12/30/2005

For a great price you get plates piled high with delicious food. On Friday and Saturday nights there's belly-dancing and a festive atmosphere. It's the perfect place for medium parties (10-15 people) as well as a cozy, romantic dinner for two. Try the baba ganoush! Pros: Great Price, Belly Dancing, Adult Atmosphere Cons: bathrooms in kitchen more

Two for romance? 11/4/2005

Romantic, the ceiling looks like you are inside a harem tent. Cozy. Food is very flavorful and has the absolute Best Baklava in town. Love the Bellydancing. Toha is wonderful! Make sure you are there before or after the ""rush"" hour. small dining area but very nice. Prices are very comparable to other Greek restaurants. Highly recommend. Not very well suited for children, more for adults. Pros: Bellydancing, Baklava, parking Cons: small dining area, not for kids more

can be formal and/or casual 8/31/2005

Jerusalem's has gotten the award for best middle eastern restaurant in the City Pages' Best of Twin Cities for over twenty years. So it's really no question that the food is quality and authentic. Every Friday/Saturday night there's live belly dancing, which is great for couples and groups as well. Reservations help for evening visits. The longer the server had been there the better. Outside seating available! Pros: Alcohol served, off street parking, best mideastern dine Cons: limited vegetarian, new workers lame more

off the beaten track 8/25/2002

The atmosphere is very warm and exotic. I think the food is consistently good. The shwirma is my favorite, but it's all good. more
