Best

This is my favorite gun store that I have visited over the past 20 years!!!! The staff should all be commended on their knowledge and level of customer service!

Worst

First and foremost I have bought from Jensen's before because of their vast selection, but never will again. Very few times have I went in and had what I would consider a good sho...

These guys suck! 12/14/2009

The help is extremely rude and unfriendly. They act like they're not getting paid to help the customers. The language is not kid friendly. Every other word is the 'F' word! I wish I could give them negative stars. Cons: unfriendly more

Good Place 10/22/2009

Jensens is hands down the best place to buy many items. They haver a great selection in their niche market. They have tons of firearms on order all the time, its just a matter of when they get delivered. The prices are the cheapest around. They can be short with you, and they can be rude at times. If you can handle the shortness caused by the huge volume of customers, you will have a good expierence. And as for the Obama sign. Good on them. He want to shut down there industry, so why should they want supporters of that guy in their store. If you voted for BHO, well lay in the bed you made. Pros: Great selection, great prices, good knowledge Cons: packed place, can be short with customers more

never go here 9/2/2009

I've called and been in here a few times. Every time I get the impression I am totally wasting their time. The guys who have helped me have been arrogant and unfriendly. I've now bought three guns since I've been in the area, but have had other dealers order them for me even though jenson's has had each in stock. Now they have a sign on the door which tells you to go elsewhere if you voted for obama. Fine with me. Seems ridiculous for a business to tell potential customers to go away. Pros: selection Cons: everything else more

Not that bad 7/27/2009

I recently made a purchase at Jensen's and had a good experience. I admit they are not the most personable, but they were friendly to me. I will buy from them again. Pros: Selection, Knowledgable, Price Cons: Not sure yet more

How to get treated like dirt 7/19/2009

First time I went there and the last time. I could not believe how rude the employees were to customers. They talked down to me. I didn't see one employee ever smile to anyone, there was no ""Thank You"" after I spent $1200 there. The only reasons I made the purchase was because they do have good stock, fair pricing, but I will not return to that store. I don't understand how they could stay in business with the attitudes I saw there. I am a fan of 5280 Armory in Arvada, but they're closed for the month of July. At 5280 they are polite and really appreciate their customers. 5280 knows how to smile, they know how to say ""Thank You"", they are knowledgeable, have good inventory, fair pricing and treat their customers well. So, if you are a masochist and like being treated like dirt, go to Jensen Arms. Pros: fair prices, good stock of ammo Cons: Rude, condescending, arrogant more

Enter at your own risk 5/19/2009

The owner and staff are arrogant. I would argue the point that the staff know their weapons. Some of them do. They will not help a novice, but will gladly belittle them. Their customer service is non existent. I watched them tell a Denver customer to come back tomorrow because his background check wouldn't be completed until about 7:10 and they closed at 7:00. They will not place special orders. They appear to place orders from a particular manufacturer and then wait until that order is depleted until ordering again. Consequently, they are often out of popular items and sizes by any given vendor. In many cases, they will not sell the last item out of the cabinet - but cannot tell you when they will have more to sell either. Don't assume that because you see it there, that you can buy it (accessories, not firearms). Sources tell me that law enforcement shops there because they get a better deal than the average person walking in off the street. They want to save money too! That said, if you know exactly what you want, and they have it in stock, and you can put up with the staff, the price is reasonable. For whatever reason, volume I suppose, they are often able to obtain stock that smaller shops can't. Enter at your own risk. Pros: They have a lot of stuff in stock Cons: See the details more

Worst Gun Shop In Colorado 5/12/2009

These are the rudest people, I was in the shop and everyone working in the shop were bad mouthing all the customers as we stood there. Almost like they were trying to get us to say something and fight back. The owner complains about customers, but he asks for it. When you keep cases of you collection and make it look like you have these items, people are going to ask to buy them. Why get mad? You are bringing this upon yourself idiot. These people don't realize who was in the store. These guys will be loosing some of their police departments business soon!!! 5280 Armory is a much better shop down in denver. Specialty Sports in the springs is as well. Stay away from these idiots. Pros: In a little town, hopefully go out of business Cons: Everything more

Wont be back 5/3/2009

I went into the store May 2, 2009 to get some ammo and I don?t think I will be returning anytime soon. I try to buy locally to support the community I live in but these folks don?t deserve that level of effort. While talking to one of the salesmen (the only good one) somehow I missed the signs restricting the amount of ammo you could due to the shortage. The salesman that helped me gather the boxes didn?t point out the restriction either. When I got to the register I got belittled by the girl at the register and got my butt chewed by the owner while I was returning the stuff to the shelf. When I said I didn?t mind following the rules but didn?t need the disrespect as a customer the owner replied that he did 1.7 million last year and he wasn?t worried about my business. Pros: Local Business Cons: Unprofessional more

Unprofessional and Tactless 4/2/2009

Don't know where to begin... I have been to this store many times now and there is nothing like being talked down to after 21 years in the Infantry by someone that has read one too many gun magazines. In a nut shell, their crew comes off as arrogant and condescending. Pros: Fair Selection Cons: Arrogant Employess more

Best gun store in Northern Colorado 11/28/2008

Jensen's' line of tactical firearms is one of the most complete in Northern Colorado. The staff open carries which only makes sense in this type of environment as there is always someone out there ready to do something stupid if not down right deadly. They carry for the protection of their customers as well as themselves and their store. A large part of their customer base as well as the staff is either active/retired LE or active /retired military. The staff know their weapons and are ready and willing to answer any questions about them. Just do yourself and everyone else a favor and do your homework before asking questions. If you are new to firearms say so and do not try to pass yourself off as an expert knowledgeable in all aspects of things that go boom. Novices are treated kindly and their questions answered in a manner that is both understandable and complete. Act like a strutting mall ninja and you will most likely walk out red faced and ego battered. In closing when asking to see a particular AR-15 do not ask to see ""that black assault rifle"". Knowing the difference between an Assault rifle and a semi-automatic rifle and asking questions accordingly will make for a much more pleasant shopping experience for all involved. And remember that if the staff doing open carry bothers you, many of the customers have valid CCW permits and are carrying concealed while in the store. Some of the staff can be abrupt when the store is busy (most of the time now days), there is a sign on the door telling Obama supporters to take their business elsewhere, and there is cussing at times. Gee just like the real world. more

Good prices, large inventory. 6/10/2008

Good prices on guns, holsters, accessories. Ammo is overpriced. Huge inventory. Pros: Huge inventory, good prices. Cons: Employees are a bit short with you, so know what you want. more

Rude, and crude. 9/26/2007

Between the staff fighting with each other and the owner's obscene language I can't find anything good at all to say about Jensen's. Pros: parking Cons: Everyone in the store. more

Wow, they're crazy 9/28/2006

I've shot and hunted my entire life but this place even makes me uncomfortable. Not recommended at all, unless you want an employee flashing you his loaded 45. Not even cool Cons: Shady place more
