We have been coming to Jason's for years! We have been here in the snow, the rain and the blazing hot summer nights. I absolutely love coming here; the wait staff is friendly and the ambiance both inside and out is relaxing and beautiful. Many people come here to sit outside. Jason's has a large patio area with Plexiglas windows that provide ample unobstructed viewing of the lake and shelter from any wind. During the winter months, there are even outside heaters to keep you toasty warm while admiring the view. The inside is just as beautiful, the bar area is adorned with Tahoe inspired wood carved bar stools and counter. The inside dining area is separated by really neat looking indoor ""trees"" that are delicately lit with white Christmas lights. The back side of the dining area offers really cozy and private high backed booths. The have an expansive salad bar with your typical offerings, plus some other salads, like pasta and potato. Their menu has something for everyone, from typical caf? and grill choice to even more ethnic options like chicken satay. My all-time favorites are their prime rib French dip, their SUPER beefy flavored French onion soup, and their burgers. I have yet to try something from their menu that I didn't like. Jason's offers fresh ingredients and the most DELICIOUS crispy fries in Placer County, HANDS DOWN. They add celery seed to their house ranch dressing and it gives it the most amazing flavor! Jason's will remain our go to dining spot when in North Beach. more

The grilled artichoke, burger and fries were great. The place could definitely be updated. We were a little put off when we walked in and the crowd was quite a bit older. The waitress was very nice (Jackie) and accommodating. I would go back. more

First time here, I like the food and drinks but I feel they are short on stuff. They take a while to serve you, but I can't complain in the food. We ordered all kinds of different plates, including kids plates, and everything was good.. more

Just the right kind of cozy, warm and friendly atmosphere that my family was searching for during a cold and snowy weekend trip. We enjoyed ourselves so much and felt so welcome that we dined there twice in three days. The burgers are awesome. The Clam Chowder (soup du jour) and the oh-so-healthy, multi-variety salad bar was also a repeat activity for us. But to top the whole experience, along with the crackling fire in there indoor fire pit, we had the most friendly and top drawer service while dining. The second visit was just like a family reunion! They were so pleased to see us again and embraced us as one of their own. Absolutely lovely! Great service, great food, warm and cozy atmosphere.....affordable to boot! Jason's will definitely be one of our home-away-from-home dining spots from now on. Can't wait to get back! more

Unique place. I got the huge 1/2 burger's lunch. It was good. Didn't have to eat dinner that night. Will return, the soup looked good too. more

Besides the fact the service was great the food tasted really fresh The prices are more than reasonable. I left a pair of expensive sunglasses in the restaurant. I called several hours later and surprise leave there waiting for me at the front. That was a $400 pair of sunglasses I thought I would never see againthey deserve five stars for honesty more

One of my favorite places to dine in North Tahoe. Great service, good food. My friends come here for beer, I come for fish. Nice ambiance, although it can get crowded and noisy. more

Jason's is pretty cool. It has a log cabin feel inside and a fairly diverse menu with sandwich and burger offerings, as well as a salad bar. It is really crowded during peak times so beware. My guacamole burger was excellently chargrilled and super delicious. However, my soup was cold when served so I sent it back to be warmed up. I didn't love the soup regardless of the temperature. Their fries sure did look good though!! Should have gotten those. Overall I am pleased with my visit and would return. more

Atmosphere is very nice and the view of Lake Tahoe is great. They have outside patio seating for the summer months. The menu has a lot to offer for all foodies and so does the drink menu. They have the only salad bar in Kings Beach that I am aware of, which is great if you are only looking for a light lunch. Lots of options from different types of salad, noodles, macaroni, fresh veggies, 6 or so house made dressings. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area for lunch or dinner.. more

The salad bar was no joke (12ft long?) and it only costed me $1 to add one trip to the salad bar to my prime rib dip. The prime rib was tender and delicious. Fries were crispy and hot. Loved the whole meal and the atmosphere. You can beat the price for quality ratio either, especially compared to ski resort food. more

Came in the winter, so no lake view experience, which would be awesome I'm sure. Inside is woodsy and cozy with great booths, a large fireplace in the dining room and an inviting looking bar area. Salad bar is fresh, stocked well and had a nice variety of toppings, warning the plates are frozen, so move quick for fear of frostbite :) The onion soup is one of the best I have ever had, very high praise, as I am a tough critic on it, totally yummy, the cup size was plenty for me. We had the French Dip and Buffalo Chicken Sandwich special. The French dip was good, pretty basic. The Special sandwich was ok but way too difficult to manage as a sandwich, it fell apart with the slippery guacamole and the chicken a bit dry. However the steak fries were crisp and perfect. Beer selection was good and the beer nice and cold. Service by Leela was attentive, pleasant and she catered to all our needs like a pro, nice job! We will definitely be back, think the place is great overall. more

Almost every Sunday I go for a bowl of French Onion soup, a Schooner of my favorite beer, and maybe something else. Live music in the summer at the sandbar, reliably on good! more

First time here. We ordered the Irish Fries. They tasted freezer burned and cheese didn't taste fresh. Fries looked as if they were bag fries and baked w/ the cheese in the oven. With that said, these were truly overpriced. They would've been way better had the fries been fresh, fried to be crispy & then apply cheese. The ribs totally made up for the mediocre fries. They fell off the bone & were juicy & tasty! The seasoned veggies were delicious, too. The apple pie a la mode was delicious! Great crust. I'd suggest heating the pie under the broiler for a few mins instead of the microwave to keep the crispness of the crust. Our waitress was great, always stopping by to make sure everything was ok. Nice, rustic decor. Although the fries were disappointing, everything else about our visit was great! 5 stars for great service! If we're in town again, I know where to get great ribs!! more
