Best

Great Job! Could not be happier with Jen, the wonderful design artist, or Jamie, the owner. Reasonable price and very talented work crew. You won't go wrong selecting them.

Worst

Had Jamies do a big landscaping job around our pool, including reseeding the yard. The job was done beautifully and came with a one year guarantee. Some of the new trees/bushes ...

Stay away 5/17/2009

The other reviews about the rudeness of the owner are completely true. His wife is even worse. If you have even the slightest problem be prepared to deal with an indigent, rude owner. more

Negative Reviews Are Completely True! 5/12/2009

Jamie,Owner a 46 yr old man cursed out using language (F*#@ing cheats) young landscaper's Joe & Ty (16yr olds)in front of customers (young children) over $10.00 an incompetent employee under charge Joe & Ty. Re: Something Fishy - It's spot on or the old switch & bait routine. If you had Jamie's plant any trees and they are dying or browning (dying) have another professional tree expert inspect your tree. Odds are your tree was not planted correctly by Jamie's incompetent Mexican tree planters. Jamie's likes to play the delay, blame the customer for not watering properly "My tree is dying" game. Delay or stall the customer until the warranty runs out! Blame the customer first then stall the customer. Have tree expert check rope holding burlap ball. Rope will be left wrap around tree trunk - strangling tree. If you consider yourself wealthy and Jamie's senses you have money, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction! Jamie's will charge you three times or more for a product or service he would normally charges someone else half. The tree product in front of Jamie's is old product from 2008 - wintered over in back of business. Jamie's has marked up old tree product 2008 with new 2009 prices. more

Watch Out! 3/26/2009

Watch Out! These people are all about wringing a buck out of their customers any way they can. There are no limits to what they'll do. Best not to do business with them at all. I WAS a commercial customer but having experienced the same ridiculous behavior as you'll see in the other comments posted here I never will be again. more

Something Fishy 2/28/2009

The stones are good stuff, make sure you get what you pay for. I weighed an empty wheel barrow when they weren't watching and then when they weighed my load the differential charged was bogus, I called the yard boys and they rewrote the ticket> So they know what that wheel barrow weighs. On deliveries, he can be shady. Watch em load the scoops and follow the truck. On big rocks, he'll take anything but he'll act not desperate. You have to say forget it. In short,, good stuff,, watch your product load and deliver. know what you want, returning excess gravel, dirt and mulch is a dirty job and can't blame hime for not wanting it back. more

Is nice until you say somehting they dont like 10/13/2008

Well i was there before and they are very nice until you say something that he does not like. Well i have bouht topsoil there before and one time had complaint and they tried to make me look like a complete fool for asking a question concerning quality of product. Personally i will not shop there unless i had to buy some stones, in which he does have some stones not many other venders stock. For this review i will give them a one and a half. Sorry but they dont have half poin more

Some things never change 9/25/2008

Good: Nothing. Bad: The unprofesionall attitude towards the customer. A little courtesy would have kept me as a customer.. Improvements: I don't think it will ever improve with the other ratings I've seen.. more

The owner is very Rude: Joes and Tyes !!!!!!! 9/24/2008

As landscapers we made a purchase and we were under charged , only to be phone called later by the owner. In the phone call he used eplict offensive language. Hence i am only in high school and this guy was 50. I went back and paid the 10 bucks and was told not to return more

Doesn't seem like old times... 5/3/2007

Back in the day, Jamie's was a good value. However, in the past few years, a yard of material today is a half a yard of material today. The cost is higher, as costs will rise over time, but if a job took 10 yards one year and it takes 15 yards to do the same job the next, there seems to be an issue. 50% more cost for the same job. Same quantity of material needed, unit of measure is shrinking. Conclusion: When you price a yard of materials at Jamie's, you should know you will probably get less material than the same unit of measure someplace else. And in closing, if you question the delivery quantities as being correct, do not expect to be treated with courtesy. You may be accused of trying to cheat him! more

knowingly violates laws, very rude to customers tears up lawns 4/15/2007

as a former employee of this poorly ran organization. i was there for a toal of 14 days at which time his equiptment had torn up atleast 2 lawns...1 of which i had to personally go to afterwork to make sure had been reseeded(we called told him it was raing and the bobcat gheil(bobcat) was leaving huge marks he told us to continue) also another former employee had driven his straight truck w/o the proper airbrake endorsement i notified jamie he allowed the other employee to keep his employment w/ no recourse (this violates several DOT laws) he gives preferantial treatment to his hispanic workers (many of which i believe are here illegally) 1 of which ate right in front of him yet when i ate costing no downtime to his company i am reprimanded his being very rude to customers stems from when i was ending my employment w/ him he stood in the doorway and said "let me get rid of this customer real fast" also there was a job he charged for 10 yards of mulch we only used roughly 8...he never once gave credit or asked me or the rest of the crew how much we returned so i assume the customer paid for items not recived! thats theft no matter how you look at it! the house was very nice so i assume they could afford the roughly 50 dollars jamie didnt return but what about those who cant its not right! i was on a jobsite and overheard one the hispanics saying about "id rape her" and tipped his head in the direction of a female neighbor washing her car his wife is also very rude maria she runs a coffe shop built in w/ the landscaping store....i dont know about you but i really dont want something im going to consume around fertiliser and stray kittens overall i would highly recomend checking elsewhere before making a deal w/ jamie...he will come back out and fix things but it had better be a big job(moneywise) and be severly screwed up before he'll send a crew back out like i said...i never once heard anything about going back out to the lawns that had been damaged by his machines! more

Great landscaper, good quality, great follow-up 7/28/2005

If you are re-doing or starting your landscaping fresh, Jamie's is the way to go. Not only to they have a huge variety of landscaping plants and shrubs, but they offer full service planting and care. They also provide stone and retaining wall service. They pay close attention to detail and really care about the customer and their happiness. Landscaping is not inexpensive, so you want to go with a place that knows what they are doing and will stand behind their work. Jamie's treats landscaping as an art form. more
