Jade Bistro

Very unique vibe at this asian bistro. Their sushi is not very trendy or hip, just the traditional sushi and sashimi... but the quality of the sushi fish they use makes them hands down one of the best sushi bars in town in my book ( I used work at a fish market). Chinese food offerings are the typical 'Gen Tso's, Fried Dumplings' cuisine that we're used at other places.. BUT it's the BEST Gen Tso's and Fried Dumplings we've ever had. Frankly, Jade knows what they are doing. Service was friendly and as prompt as could be considering they were busy the night we went. Jade is worth many return visits. more

I work in college park at a law office and my colleagues and I could not disagree with the last two reviews more (only explanation we came up with is that the negative review is written by a competing restaurant). This place has been our regular lunch spot (and the rest of College Park's that matter) for the past few years and I've never had a bad meal here. The sushi has always been top grade and the chinese dishes rival the excellent sushi. The restaurant staff has always been welcoming and helpful. \r \r One last note is ....go for dinner or late lunch only! I cannot advise Jade to anyone for a weekday lunch because the neighborhood office crowd and hospital staff nearby does pack this place up on occasion. THE FIRST AND LAST TIME MY HUSBAND AND OUR 2 CHILDREN WENT WAS A HORRIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE. OUR FAMILY TRIES OUT A NEW RESTAURANT EACH WEEK. WHEN WE WENT TO JADE BISTRO, NO ONE EVEN SHOWED US A TABLE, WE SAT OURSELVES AT A TABLE OUTSIDE, ABOUT 25 MINUTES PASSED UNTIL A WAITRESS FINALLY CAME TO HELP US. TWO AMERICAN FAMILIES WHO ARRIVED AFTER US WERE ATTENDED AND SERVED BEFORE WE EVEN GOT SOMEONE TO TALK TO US, THE FOOD TOOK FOREVER TO BE SERVED.
