I took the engine to my Olds 98 to Jackson's after they assured me that they would do a total rebuild, testing every part before assembly. I specifically asked if they would magnaflux the block and they were dismissive that of course they would, that was just basic procedure for a rebuild.\r

Engine just would not run without heavy valve clack and missing and broken plastic in the valve covers. Jackson's told me the only way the engine could be in such bad shape after their rebuild was that my son abused it, raced it, overreved it, etc. Not their problem.\r

I took the car to Joyco and they did a rebuild and the engine went out before my son got to Stillwater. Joyco pulled the engine and the boss tested it. There was a crack in the block that ran the full length of the engine. He made his mechanic pay for the rebuild.\r

The car ran like a champ for two more years until I sold the car.\r

Really interfered with my relationship with my son as I believed them, horrible apology since I could not un-ring the bell that I did not believe and trust him. Still comes up which is why I decided to tell others.
