J&R is a necessary evil. They always have the best prices in New York -- too bad the story is organized weirdly, out of the way, staffed with frustrating sales people (who work on commission and are either too aggressive about getting your business or not helpful enough when they find out the item you need is under $100) and has a convoluted system of paying for your purchases and then picking them up elsewhere in the store. Also, women beware -- if you're on your own they'll condescend to you, and if you're with a man they'll try to only do business with him. It's a seriously annoying place, and I hate giving them my business, but they almost always have what I need at the right price.
