JOANN Fabric and Crafts

I suspect Jo-Anns pays their staff next to nothing. They seem to always be changing. You might hit on a lovely staffer, but they probably won't be there the next time you visit. The person who I presume is the owner is quite rude and has no understanding of customer service. But I sew a lot, and they're practically the only place in town that sells material. I order online whenever I can, and only hit up Jo-Ann Fabric if I have a coupon. Oh, and if you want to use the bathroom you have to tell them it's an emergency. That's the code word to get you the key. The store itself is quite rundown. They apparently recently remodeled it, but I think they just moved stuff around. I suppose if I'd never been in another Jo Ann fabrics I wouldn't know any better . This one is rundown, almost always in a state of disarray and chronically understaffed. The selection is hit or miss. They always seem to have a great supply of fake flowers and sesonal decor. They are frequently out of the most basic items. PROS: Low prices, frequent sales CONS: long lines, disorganized and sparse supplies of some items. more
