JB Tree Service

We employed J.B. Tree Service and their professional crew for a difficult job in cutting down some of our pine trees. They arrived in a very timely fashion, were most efficient, took extra care not to harm any other trees/plants (which was most important, given that 2/3 of one tree was in a neighbor’s yard), cleared all the extraneous limbs and brush, and they graciously cut a smaller tree that had died at no cost. Our yard looked better after they had finished their work and left!! Our house is located in Falconbridge and a number of our neighbors highly recommended Jeff Bracken based on the quality of his work. That his price was also reasonable certainly was a bonus although to have such important work done that could have resulted in significant damages, cost was a secondary consideration. As for the one negative review, I can only think this writer had/has other issues. Jeff is incredibly polite and his crew are very good at explaining what and how the work will be done, both prior to and during the tree-cutting process. Our (and I’m including other Falconbridge homeowners) have nothing but exemplary words of praise for J.B. Tree Service. They are very detailed, honorable, friendly, perform quality work and Jeff delivers exactly what he promises – in our case, even more! I am almost shocked to write this review. A year and a half ago, Jeff Bracken cut down a lot of trees in exchange for power saws and a lot of euqipment. All good. I am a micro customer on a $200/job budget. Nobody is supposed to lose money running a business. A couple of weeks ago, I called Jeff and told him I had $200 and next time he ws n Hillsborough, I needed him to do bring his loader and do some heavy lifting. I called last week and said I've got $200 bucks, when are you next in Hillsborough--add me on to a big job you have. ""We're scehduled for Thursday,"" said his brother Terry. Long story short, no call, no show. Called to discuss, no return call. Intervening factor: Kim Deaton, his stump removal guy, promised me max. 4 hours of stump removal and tilling in exchange for several hundred dollars worth of msc. stuff. Strung me along, 15 no shows, going through divorce, restraining order, domestic violence?. After 15 no-shows, I blasted Kim. No doubt, he communicated that to jeff bracken. Jeff might want to reevaluate who he sides with, as I may be poor now, but there's always the power of the pen. So Jeff Bracken turned from good guy into a bad guy--just another promise-beaker. Not because he didn't come for a lousy one hour of clearing (which has taken me 6 days to do by hand) but because he wasn't man enough to address the oissue. Bottom line: boycott JB Tree Service and Kim Deaton. more
