I've had a couple of brazilians before at my local nail salons, that were less expensive. They were tragically painful, took 45-60 minutes and the aftermath left me in tears and long pants. I thought I'd have to live au natural and just keep the sides clean. I kept hearing about J Sisters, so as summer is here again, I gave it one last shot. Janea, one of the "J Sisters" is a friendly, but straight forward, no nonsense technician who is not afraid to "get in there" to get every last hair and not rip all of my skin off. Some places ask you to "hold the skin taught" for them, perhaps so your "bits" aren't so exposed, but she only asked me to hold my leg up and relax. It was about as humiliating as a trip to the gyno, until you realize that both your gyno and bikini waxer do this all day and have seen worse than you. Best of all, it was over in 15 minutes! I'm not going to lie, though, it was not painless. Less painful and much quicker, yes. Now it's several days later, & I'm using the cream for ingrown hair. Usually by now I am a bumpy mess, but so far, so smooth! I did notice that the ingredient in their proprietary cream is lidocain, which is the same as in "Bikini Zone" and you can that get anywhere for $5. But since I've used that before, there must be something about the actual waxing that was done much better, even being cleaned up with tweezers. Janea suggested I come every 3 or 4 weeks and when the hair grows back finer it will be less & less painful. We'll see about that, but I am no longer horrified by the prospect of stripping the jungle bare. I really don't think $65 is that much to spend once a month, especially to look this hot!
