Don't hire Rachel Macon - you WILL lose. Regretfully I hired Rachel Macon in 2015 to represent me in a simple legal matter. I had gotten a divorce in 2010. My ex filed a motion to set aside the order in 2015. Rachel's only defense strategy was " the judge will never set aside his own judgement five years later." The judge did in fact set aside his own ruling five years later. Rachel refused to prepare for the hearing. She did not have a strategy. She did not subpoena any records to prove my case. She did not review any evidence produced by either side; failing to identify supporting evidence in a timely manner. Rachel did not submit any supporting evidence or present an argument to the court in defense of my case. At no time did Rachel comprehend what the case was about. Rachel told me to produce documents to the opposing party even though the documents requested had nothing to do with the case. She did not read the answers I wrote in my Admissions document. She cut and pasted, and submitted my personal emails addressed to her to the court without reading my responses or "lawyering up" my responses. She did not read the opposing party's Admissions. She did not provide any legal advice whatsoever.
Rachel instructed her staff to call me repeatedly to solicit funds not owed, stating I had a balance of $1000.00. I paid her upfront and in full. I had to tell her not to contact me further to solicit funds. Rachel then started calling me asking for $1,000.00 to file something with the court that my case did not require. I told her I did not hire her to handle any additional matters for me and I asked her not to call me again soliciting funds for legal services she was not hired to handle. It certainly appears to me that Rachel needed $1,000.00 to pay her bills that month and regarded me as her personal piggy bank. Rachel uses her position to badger her clients for "free money". RUN for your life, RUN for your money, Run for the hills... just RUN away from Rachel Macon - you WILL lose your shirt or your mind.
