Its Greek To Me

Got the large Greek salad to go. For the $7.99, I would expect it to be freshly made. The salad was pre-packaged. My destination was 3 minutes away, and when I opened the salad, most of the lettuce was old and rotted. The ""garlic"" bread is a poor substitute; texas toast with a tablespoon of Kraft Parmesan cheese mounded in the center. To add insult, they make you wait for your order to be ""prepared"". This place is amazing! The gyros are soooooooo good! They really put a lot of beef & pork or vegetables in them. If you get the sphaghetti, it's also great but they give you A LOT of it. The prices are very good too. They have a drive thru so if you don't want to sit and eat you can get it to go. They make a chocolate baklava which is also awesome! more

I am an experienced fish sandwich kind of guy that spans 5 western states and I have never had a better fish sandwich than what these guys dish up. It is by far the best I have EVER had. Now, I will admit I have not tried anything else there, but that is because anytime I'm in the area on business, I don't even care if I'm hungry, I stop for a fish sandwich. I can't help it. I'm addicted. This is the first review I have ever written for anyone, but I felt so inclined due to the fact that this place is the best. Look, if you want authentic Greek food, go to Greece or a fancy restaurant, but if you want a good variety of exquisitely prepared food, give this place a shot, I know you won't be disappointed. It's Greek To Me does not claim to be an authentic Greek restaurant (hence the name)... it's got a drive thru and pizza for christ's sake! However, it is very tasty house-made cuisine served quickly in a fun relaxed atmosphere. Superb pizza is made from scratch daily and the spaghetti is the best in town! Try some of the unique gyro variations (philly, italian, etc) and there are good options for vegetarians too. Also, the staff is hilarious... what a nice bunch of kids! The staff is nice, but the food is awful. Not authentic at all. The tzatziki is runny, the falafel is either too salty or too bland, the veggies aren't as fresh as they could be - it's just not worth it (and I've been there about a half-dozen times, trying to give it a chance). The food - I crave it all the time. It's fresh. The staff is attractive and attentive. Their Greekness is authentic - from the look right down to the smell. Don't be fooled by the way it looks - it's top notch dining. Best pizza in the Puget Sound. Vegetarian items are available. Pros: great food for cheap Cons: not a lot of seating more

When you go to It's Greek To Me, you have to do a few things. You have to try the souvlaki sandwich. And the Hummus Plate appetizer. And the chocolate covered Baklava is out of this world... And I've never had the pizza, but have always intended to because it looks so good. I frequent the Federal Way location, over in Twin Lakes. Although counter based service, they are persanable and all ways in a good mood. The Authentic Greek Cuisine is fantastic. There Pizza has been rated Best in the South Sound several years in a row by the News Tribune. more
