After endless months of looking for the perfect engagement ring, I found mine at Israel Rose. When I first made an appointment with them I had asked to see engagement rings in different styles, when I got there I saw their collection of antique engagement rings (the largest and more diverse I have seen so far) and was overwhelmed by it. However, with the appointment I had made I requested 5 rings to see. They showed me the 5 rings and many other rings that were not in my request but were similar in style, price range and carat weight. After seeing many rings I finally found THE ONE, I then told my bf about it and then he got in contact with Israel Rose to purchase it. The whole experience was wonderful and they could not have been more professional, to the point yes, but also very pleasant. I definitely recommend Israel Rose if you are looking for the perfect antique engagement ring and their prices are way low compared to many other places I had visited during my search. more

I purchased a beautiful antique engagement ring from Israel Rose - really, really gorgeous. Israel and David were so great helping me in my selection of this ring. My girlfriend started to cry when I showed it to her - the happiest day of our lives. more

My boyfriend attempted to buy an antique ring on this website--paid and received a confirmation number and everything. He was then called a few days after such a LARGE purchase and told that a dealer came in and purchased the ring with several others a few days earlier and they did not get a chance to take it off the website. After about 6 months of searching, we had found the one! The owner would not tell us who had bought the ring and insisted we didn't want to pay the fee that this dealer would charge--isn't that up to us!?? He instead insisted we buy a similar, yet $2K more expensive ring from him. He was RUDE, ARROGANT, DEMEANING, and PATRONIZING. He claimed it wasn't good business to tell us who he sold it to. If his business does so well then why would it matter if we bought this ring from the new dealer? After having that discussion, I surely will NEVER buy a ring from Isreal Rose aka New York Estate Jewelry. DO NOT BUY FROM ISREAL ROSE!!! more

I was looking for an antique diamond ring and Israel Rose had the best, most reasonable selection I have ever seen. My husband located the store on the internet--and we visited last Spring. After having looked, looked, and looked both in the the US and in Europe, I decided on a choice there in two minutes! I am so delighted with my ring! Since then, we have purchased a wonderful necklace and gorgeous emerald earrings! They even polished my emerald engagement ring. Their service is expert, personal and professional. Trust is so important--and they have ours. When I visit other jewelry stores, knowledgeable people appreciate and remark on my ring. I feel so lucky to have found them. more

Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Israel Rose made the whole process so much better! I wanted a vintage engagement ring, so my fiance bought the most amazingly beautiful Edwardian ring from Israel Rose. He first saw it online at their store, and then came up to NYC to see it in person. Their description online was perfect and it was even more beautiful in real life, and the price was very good too! I didn't know my size, so in the end I had to have it resized from a 7.75 to a 4.5 and they did a gorgeous job. I loved working with them so much, i bought my (vintage) wedding band from them too. they spent a long time with me looking through their inventory to help me find the diamond band that matched my engagement ring perfect. I cannot say enough about my wonderful experience with them and I would highly recommend them to anyone. I hope to do buisness with them again in the future! more

For months I have been looking for the perfect antique jewelry company to help me pick a birthday gift for my grandmother. I have to admit, a lot of the options were overwhelming. I came across Rose's website and inquired about a piece. Not only was my inquiry answered within a few hours but during my appointment the gentleman was kind and patient answering all my questions. After showing me a few pieces, I walked away with the perfect gift. THEY ARE AWESOME! more

These guys are awful. I had an appointment with them and they weren't prepared for it after they insisted that i was. They also made me wait 20 minutes and when they finally came to ""help"" they were disrespectful, rude and berated me and my girlfriend. Meanwhile, I've heard rumors their stock is not as vintage as they say it is. Be wary. They are also NewYorkEstateJewelry on the Internet. If they can't be trusted to hold an appointment and be civil, how can you put your trust in buying a ring from them? Cons: disrespectful, rude, questionable merchandise, untrustworthy more
