Indy Tattoo Works

Being that I am a new resident in Indianapolis, I didn't have any local contacts to refer me to a specific tattoo artist. Even after reading all the great reviews about Indy Tattoo Works, I was still very nervous about having something permanently inked into my body by someone that I had no personal reference to. I took a fairly complicated tribal design to JT and he did an absolutely amazing job at recreating the look. The parlor is very clean and I felt comfortable asking all the silly questions a first-timer has to ask. When I finally got the tattoo, I was INCREDIBLY happy with it! I've gotten nothing but the best compliments from it, and everyone has asked where I got it done. A lot of my friends who currently have tattoos were extremely impressed with the design and the quality. A few of them are already saving up money so they can go and get more work done at Indy Tattoo Works :) The price was also excellent - I only paid half of what I was prepared to pay for this particular tattoo. I had a great experience here and definitely recommend it to anyone! more

I just want to say thanks to J.T.A for giving me a great tattoo! Me and my dad were trying to find a great place for me to get my first tattoo after visiting so many tattoo parlors and not liking the atmosphere that they had, we had decided to try Indy Tattoo Works after reading all of their recommendations and how highly rated they are. When we first walked in we were greeted by J.T.A. and he was very proffessional and told us to ask any questions that we had. He had made us feel such at ease that we had decided to make my appointment with him. When we had gotten there for my appointment J.T.A. took the design that i wanted and re-sketched it out for me the way that i wanted it. I was really nervous, but after talking to him about the whole tattoo process right before getting it done he made me feel so much more at ease about the pain factor of getting my tattoo....he did such a good job on me, and since they were so reasonably priced that my dad is looking at a tattoo to get done there and i'm looking at getting another one.....THANKS AGAIN INDY TATTOO WORKS. Just receieved my first tattoo from John at Indy Tattoo works. I must say that I was very impressed with John's knowledge and his attitude during and before the application. I received the tattoo at a very, very nice price. My first tattoo and it came out much better than I had expected. I had a subdued [green and black] 82nd Airborne patch that I had a tattoo made of. I was thinking it would be a basic 2D copy of the patch. When the tattoo was finished it looked like the exactly like real patch with 3D depth and detail. I have known JT for along time, he gave me my first tattoo, but i ended up going to someone else to do the rest of my tattoos, mainly due to conveinence. But when my girlfriend wanted her first real tattoo JT is the first, and only person that came to mind, and his work and prices are worth the drive. This was my first tattoo and overall I would say that I was semi-nervous. That feeling soon went away. The overall professionalism and passion that JTA shows for his work is amazing. You walk away knowing that you received a quality tattoo the way that you want it at a price that's hard to beat. My husband and I came in to get work done on our backs. We gave John an idea of what we wanted and he took such great care in making sure we were getting what we wanted. He began working on my husband first and his took almost 4 hours to complete. It was very late, so we offered to come back the next day to get mine started, but he gratiously stayed until the wee hours of the morning doing METICULOUS work. They look AMAZING; PERFECT is the best way to describe them. We would not hesitate coming back and HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to anyone. more

I recently just got my second tattoo. I didnt get my first one at Indy Tattoo Works, now I wish I would of. I recommended someone getting their tattoo here. He is very professional and makes sure that he gets your tattoo right. He takes his time so there are no screw ups. The building is very clean, and I felt comfortable being there. I recently received my first tattoo at I.T.W. I went to John after a friend of mine highly recommended him. He was very helpful in picking out and designing what I was going to get. Indy Tattoo Works was a great experience. I went there for an early birthday present. I told JTA what I wanted and he did a great job. My tattoo is sweet. I am so pleased with the work he did. I recently went to ITW to get a tattoo and was surprised by the excellent customer service and outstanding professionalism. I had an appointment scheduled at 7, but had difficulties getting there and didnt show up untill hrs. later. To my surprise ITW was cool about it and made sure I would get a great quality tattoo regardless. No other place would remain open way beyond store operation hrs. because of my own failure to find the location. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a tattoo or piercing regardless of your experience- Great experience and a pleasure to do business with. This was the first time I went in for a tattoo at ITW and I'm deff. going to return for anyother work I would get done. Quality was superb, price were the best around.
