Indian Oven edges out The Sitar for best Indian food in Omaha. Menu highlights include the Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Tika (get a side of Korma Sauce) and the best bet for those indecisive: a veg or non-veg Thali (sampler). Food quality is consistently very good, service is always polite and attentive and the management responds favorably to criticism. Lunch prices are considerably more kind than dinner. There is a small selection of a few nice single malts round to out the meal. I have not dined here in the past several months, but have heard some murmurings that the restaurant is trying it's hand at a few fusion dishes. I find this a disappointment as we already have an Indian restaurant in town that leans toward fusion dishes, The Jaipur - and I find them less than desirable. Open for lunch and dinner hours (not in between) and reservations are recommended on weekend eves, I think they are closed on Sunday and the website listed above is incorrect.
