Best

There are a few things I really like about Indian Oven.

Worst

Food is one of those things I won't think twice over spending large amounts of money on it, so long as it's good. Unfortunately Indian Oven's buffet + Mango Juice wasn't worth the...

One of the best !!! 7/29/2004

Indian Oven is unlike any other restaurant. My girlfriend and I have gone a couple times to the restaurant and many many times before they moved to Main Street. During our last two visits we had the lunch buffet and they were both grrreeat. Although the buffet is a little pricey, we were very satisfied (thanks to the very attentive owner who always makes a dining experience at Indian Oven very pleasant!) Pros: Great food, Good Parking, Clean more

Scrumptous 1/9/2003

I absolutely love the Indian Oven. The food is always great! I have had nothing but wonderful service. Try the Lamb Korma and fruit custard for dessert..ummm! Pros: Great food, Great ambience, Great Service Cons: Pricey more

Spicy, fresh and tasty! 12/31/2002

From it's humble beginings in the Campus area, the Indian Oven is a staple of ""comfort food"" for me and my family. The new location offers a well-stocked bar, attentive service, eccletic ambiance and (as always) freshly prepared, delicious authentic Indian food. Must haves: vegetable pakoras, Dall soup and the chicken mahkni. Goes great with a Grey Goose Cosmo! Pros: Full Bar, Attentive Service, Ambiance Cons: Expensive, Crowded on Fri/Sat more

We call it: Indian Lovin' 12/30/2002

My friends and I have been loyal followers of ""the lovin'"" since the early days at Patterson and High. Back then, Murad used to wait every table in the restaurant himself! The food was great then and it is great now - except now, he has a splendid new location and a full bar. You will be blown away by the atmosphere - which does not by any means follow typical Indian restaurant decor. Murad is always walking around talking to people making you feel welcome reminiscent of a custom you would happen upon in a family-owned Italian restaurant in New York City. You will find something truly unique and worthy of attention at Indian Oven. I highly recommend it. We always keep an eye on the menu at indianoven.com and sometimes even get carry-out! Mmmmmmm... Pros: Great food, Great atmosphere, Off-street parking more

the place looks nice 12/28/2002

This is a nice restaurant but the food is not the Indian that I like. I don't know if it is from a different region or was not authentic. It was good food but it wasn't really my idea of Indian food. It was a little overpriced and the drinks are VERY expensive. However the decor is wonderful. Pros: nice atmosphere, good drinks, quantity of food Cons: expensive, not typical Indian more

Very good food, nice location 12/19/2002

Had department christmas lunch today - all diners were very pleased with taste of food and level of spiciness. (One diner said ""It's refreshing to go to a restaurant that actually makes spicy food when you ask for spicy food!"") Buffet was very good - 2 meat dishes, 2 veg dishes, rice pudding; naan pan was constantly being refilled. Other diners were pleased with their dishes and all were full and satisfied. Pros: Good food, Nice building Cons: A little pricey more

Not worth the $$$$$$ 10/13/2002

The food was anything but authentic Indian. Prices were high and portions were very small. The only good thing about this place is the Decor. more

Outstanding Indian 10/7/2002

I have dined at Indian Oven several times, and each time, I have a fantastic meal. The owner is friendly, greeting each customer and then checking when the meal comes to ensure your satisfaction. The selection was adequate, and I feel reasonably priced. The location is in an up-and-coming part of town, sure to be booming in a short amount of time. Pros: Hip Atmosphere, Value, Flavor Cons: Offbeat Location more

Once was enough! 8/30/2002

First time visisting this restaurant...the atmosphere was OK...but the food was not what I expected. One of the dishes I had ordred, was the Alu Gobi, and the potatoes were not even cooked...Once was enough for me...will NOT be returning. more
