Stay away from the con artist 10/16/2009

buyer beware, steve sprague is a con artist that will take your money and you'll never get in a hot air balloon. He will schedule and flight and then you wont hear from him, he'll reschedule a flight and again you wont hear from him. you will spend more time trying to get scheduled/rescheduled than you can ever imagine. and the bottom line; it's all a con and your money is gone. i wish i went out to these reviews before signing up. my loss, however trying to prevent others from the same loss. He got so angry and aggressive when i threatened legal action, it came to the point where my wife and i were scared to go up in a balloon with him... (although we never got that far to decline that's for sure). I went though BBB and small claims however to no avail. However I did it to have it on record and prevent his scams to continue Cons: he'll take your money and won't provide the product more

I do not reccomend this company! 11/13/2007

After careful research, I chose this company for a flight and trike training. I paid for the flight months ago and every time they schedule the flight, they end up cancelling it soon after. They say it is the weather everytime. However, I checled with other professionals in the business and they tell me that the weather that day is fine. Then they tell me all the bad things they have been told about this comapny. I found some real horror stories about them online too. Do research on them before you use them. They are dangerous and have injured clients and threatened them too. They do not carry insurence either. I have yet to get my money back and they have no physical address. Interesting, huh? more

Frightening and dishonest 9/8/2007

This business does certification of various aircraft as well as hot air balloon rides. We took our aircraft to be inspected, repaired and certified. When it was all said and done he kept demanding more and more money. Money to change the tires, money to store it inside a hanger and many other small charges that added up to thousands of dollars. When we went to pick up the aircraft, we saw clear signs it had been stored outside, it was dirty and muddy, the tires were changed, in fact the tires we had were replaced with OLDER tires. And when we refused to trade this man a part off our aircraft which cost $3,000 for a part that cost about $800....In other words he wanted our better part, we refused and he told us that we had better pay him $900 MORE dollars because he had remembered additional work he had done and if we didn't give him the $900 he was going to keep our aircraft and call the police and put a lien on our property. He got very angry and started issuing out threats and warnings.....We agreed to give him the money and thought, ""Well we got scammed."" We were going to learn from it an go on. Before we left Steve wanted to do one last thing to the Aircraft. He was still very angry we wouldn't give him the part. We walked away to gather the money. When we got the aircraft home we saw that under a hidden area of the engine, major line had been cut apparently with a blade. A line that would have caused us to lose control of the Aircraft and crash had we taken off without a final inspection. We are filing charges with the San Antonio police and have informed Steve that we have done so. Do not do business with this dishonest person who calls himself a Jehovah's Witness, yet he has extorted money from us, and allegedly sabotaged a customer's property in a way in which the FAA must not investigate. We have a San Antonio attorney and want to hear from anyone else with a similar frightening story. jadakaykay@yahoo Pros: Nice as long as you allow them to rip you off Cons: Dishonest and frightening more

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! 3/23/2007

I paid him for a hot air balloon ride and a power parachute ride last April and have still not gotten it a year later. I have made several attempts to schedule a flight, but he cancels them. He constantly reschedules. He claims the wind isn't right. I am not alone on this. There are several people mad at him on other review sites. I did a search on Google and found out that he had his membership revoked from the National Tour Association.\r NTA has terminated the tour operator membership of Incredible Journeys, based in San Antonio, Texas, effective Jan. 4, 2007, based on violation of the NTA Code of Ethics.\r Pros: He is very nice on the phone Cons: He takes your money and never gives you a ride! more
