Best

Just got a haircut from Jaleh at In Vogue. I have hair that is both curly and straight, and I have had so many bad cuts, but Jaleh was great! Go see her! Pros: Great Haircut, ...

I went here because I just needed a trim. My regular stylist is a bit pricey and I'm short on money at the moment. I found the people at the front desk to be quite friendly. My st...

Mixed emotions 5/9/2003

I've always liked the hairdressers I've had, however the front desk can be quite rude at times-like not giving you the time of day when you walk in or making you feel less than for getting a service with the New Talents. Recently, I sent a friend there for highlights-she asked for anything BUT blonde and that's what she got. When she went back for an adjustment, the person at the front desk thought she was crazy for not liking it! I sent someone else there & same person made a rude remark about child making prints on her freshly cleaned mirrors then walked off. Pros: Inexpensive, Great Value, Friendly hairdressers Cons: Snotty front desk more

BEST HAIRCUT IN TOWN 4/27/2003

I go to see Michelle. I get consistent results every time and enjoy all the perks of going to this salon. The massage of head and hands are a great extra. I have sent all my coworkers, now I recommend this salon to you. Pros: Skilled Stylist, HandMassage, HeadMassage more

JUST FINE!!!!! 4/24/2003

Well I went in for a little haircut while on a long road trip, and with really ragged hair. The salon is cute and quaint (could use a little update) and the people at the desk were really sweet and got me in with a "new talent". This girl was great! For only $15 I got a great haircut, a hand massage, and even a makeup application. Oh! and she massaged my head before we even went in to shampoo...and with this great smelling oil. The perks were amazing, and unexpected, and the price was amazing as well. The BEST PART OF ALL!!! IS...that my hair looks great 4 weeks later. I might travel that way again, just for Salon in Vogue. Pros: Everything! more

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCES! 4/1/2003

This salon is the best deal in town. I went to the salon originally to have a hair color disaster fixed. I saw Melissa who corrected the mess beautifully. Once the color was fixed, I discussed upkeep with her, and the price for her color was out of my range for ongoing upkeep. When I found out that there were New Talents who could do the upkeep and save me money, I was elated. This salon is interested in offering me what I want and what I can afford. They are innovated, talented, and have stylists of all levels of experience and price. I recommend seeing a master for the first visit, and then having the new talents do the maintenance at about one third the price. Pros: Experience, Value!!!!!, Service more

Green, But Amazing 2/16/2003

I went to a new talent on the recommendation of a friend. It was wonderful. The stylist was new in the business, but she worked with a stylist who had more experience and gave me the best hair color and cut! She was amazingly attentive to my wants and needs. She gave me a wonderful hand massage. She also did my makeup while I had foils in my hair, which was a nice diversion from looking at myself in the mirror. They were great. I couldn't believe the whole thing only cost $60. for the cut and the color! I will be back and I've already told my friends! Pros: service, attention to ME!, Everything more

Never quite right! 1/25/2003

I went for about a year, tried 4 different stylists, and could never get a good cut. Well, I take that back--one person gave a good cut but told me she knew better than me and gave me the cut SHE wanted to give instead of what I asked for. The others just gave bad cuts. No one there seems at all interested in their clients--most of them seem bored and depressed. Don't be fooled by the "scalp massage" and "hand massage" which some people are so thrilled with. Wouldn't you rather have a good haircut? Pros: easy to get appt. more

Disappointed again and again 1/14/2003

I started going to Salon In Vogue approx. 2 years ago. I will say that I am happy with the skin care specialists they employ and have never had bad brow wax. Frankly, the part I really dislike about the Salon is their VERY unfriendly and EXTREMELY uptight atmosphere. The ladies (and men) that work at the front desk are among the rudest I have ever encountered. They always act as if I am inconveniencing them by showing up for an appointment that I made. Until recently I always dreaded going there because I would have to deal with their rude staff, but I wanted a good brow wax, so I'd have to deal. I'd finally put up with it enough and thank goodness I found a new salon! I don't have to dread going there anymore. From what I hear, I am not the only unhappy customer. Cons: VERY rude, disgruntled workers, over-priced more

Lacks appeal 11/18/2002

I love my stylist and that's the only reason I continue going to this salon. There is just not a value for the money spent overall. Because the sytlist don't book their own appointments, there is no flexibility and appts. must be booked way too far in advance. Also, the left side of the salon (with the new talents) is very trashy looking. When you're paying so much money for a cut/color the least you should be able to expect is that the walls aren't dirty and scuffed up. As soon as I can find a new stylist I'm out of there. Parking is horrible. more

NEW TALENTS-GREAT HAIRCUTS 10/16/2002

I am a loyal New Talent patron, and I am really impressed! All of the New Talent stylists that I have seen have been great. Add a hand massage, a head massage and all for $15. and I am one happy woman! more

GREAT LITTLE SALON!!!! 9/17/2002

I've been seeing the New Talents at Salon in Vogue for years. I always get a great cut and love going in there. The stylists are young and hip, and the vibe is fun. They carry Aveda and that is a big plus. For $15. they give a great service! Pros: Fun Place, Great Stylists/value, AVEDA more

YES for Hair NO for Nails 8/6/2002

I get may hair cut here and have been very happy with my stylist. The scalp and hand massages are a bonus and the prices are reasonable for haircuts. So I recommend trying this place out for hair ONLY. I've had a few pedicures and manicures and agree with the other postings. The nail service is a waste of time and money, very expensive for the level of service. Another negative is the the pedicure and manicure station are separate so you have to walk from the pedicure area through the haircutting area for a manicure. I had to do this barefoot and got other peoples hair clippings on my feet-yuck! Because of my experience with their nail service, I won't venture to check out the spa services. I go to Dosha for that..All said, if you need a hair stylist, try this place out. Pros: GREAT FOR HAIR, GOOD HAIR PRICES, CONVIENT LOCATION Cons: NO FOR NAILS, CAN GET BUSY, PRICEY PEDICURES more

Don't go unless someone's got a gun to y 6/2/2002

Atmosphere snooty. Service terrible. Website misleading! Pedicure room like a bathroom, way uncomfortable. Gave us a total rush job, hardly any filing or scrubbing and only one coat of paint! With our polish not even dry, and the cotton still in our toes, they put our shoes on us and escorted us out to the desk. Were supposed to get wine and food according to guy we spoke to and the website. Nope. Manager on duty was so unaccommodating and unfriendly. Pretentious. No wonder all the bad reviews. The Salon In Vogue experience left us feeling grumpy, mad and ended up costing us money. Apparently, the salon used to be great, but seems to have come under new, poor management. We promptly went to Elegant Nails in the Northwest, where they do amazing work for only $20. more

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME 6/2/2002

DO NOT GO HERE! My friend and I had made an appointment for their 2 hour "Pedicure Pals" deal - pedicures with a catered lunch and a choice of wine or microbrew, supposedly the royal treatment. What really happened was they rescheduled on us at the last minute, then the following week they called to say they were running late; when we finally got our pedicures, it took less than an hour, there was no lunch or drink, the polish was one coat of a gooey-thick mess, and they shoved us out the door before it was dry! The polish smeared and got on our shoes. After complaining we got a 25% discount, but believe me, I felt like they should have paid US for the incredible waste of our time!! more
