Miami is not known for it's customer service, but this place deserves top honors for worst service. Showed up on time, but did not get taken back for wash until 30 min later. Sat at the sink for another 10 min?shampoo girl showed up, but did not bother say hello?she then proceeded to pound my head against the sink. I had deep conditioning done, and then sat under dryer for 20 min. After it shut off, I waited 20 min more. Stylist still not ready - she was still cutting someone else. Finally she noticed me waiting (with the cond still in hair), ?Oh, you can wash that out?go find one of the girls.? Excuse me, I?M the one who is supposed to find someone to wash it out!?!? I was ready to leave but needed the coniditioner out. I went to back room, and found shampoo girl eating lunch. Asked for help, and she looked at me like I had 4 heads, and says ?Wait at the sink.? Five min later, still no one?the recpt/manager walked by, ?Oh she?ll be with you soon.? Another 5 min, he comes back, and then washes my hair instead! It obviously wasn't his job and I could tell he was uncomfortable too - but at least he was nice! Stylist was still not ready, so I went to front desk, tipped guy for washing conditioner out, left with soaked hair, got in car, and immediately called my old salon, where always got a great cut, done in 40 minutes tops, and was not treated as if the employees were doing me a favor. Worst part is that I went off a friend's recomendation who has been going for over 7 years (like the other reviewer), and always had gorgeous hair. I was trying a new salon cuz I wanted to find a place less expensive than my old salon - she was shocked when I told her, especially since she actually came in with me to introduce me personally to the manager and stylist. Now, I'm more than happy to pay $50-70 a cut at Van Michael Salon in South Beach - they'll treat you like gold.
