My family went to IHOP last night. Waiter seemed very nice @ first, but very overbearing. Since we were only ones there, asked if AC could be turned warmer as restaurant was freezing cold. Reply was ""I can't do it but I''ll have to ask my manager. It never got any warmer. We asked about soup of day--was told there was none, but he went on to name all the salads & every dressing they had. I had ordered grits--never got them. When I asked about it, he got disgusted. Brought them--soon discovered that there was dry grits@ bottom of bowl. My daughter asked for a teabag--assuming she would get more hot water with it. About 10 min later, I asked for the same thing. He brought us each a teabag--but no hot water. When I asked for hot water for both of us--he got really disgusted. Went to the kitchen---we overheard him yell ""they never asked for water--just teabags"" . When pots of water came, was very rude & snide & water was luke warm. So disgusted, we never said anything. Picked up my husbands dishes & literally thru them in the dirty dish bucket. If we needed anything after first getting food, we had to flag him down. He refused to come to our table on his own. Brought us our bill, but never came back to collect for it. We took it to the front & had to wait for him to even recognize that we were there. Overall, our experience was TERRIBLE , food ok--hot tea NOT hot!! Waiter was obnoxious. Can not seem to handle more than a couple of tables---tries to be overly friendly.Has comments to make about every item ordered---and comments again when he brings food to table. Does not check back on tables. We had to ask for extra napkins & butter @ least twice to get any help. His name: Joel E. Will not go back to this IHOP. Usually have good service---definetely not this time. If this waiter was at any restaurant, I would refuse to eat there or to have him wait on us. Terrible experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\r
