I ordered a delivery for my elderly mom and was brought the wrong item. Instead of fixing the order or refunding my money, the manager was rude and threatening. I will not go there again. My bank has refunded my money. They should realize that there ARE other great options in Arlington! more

When you think of happy hour, a Chinese restaurant is certainly not the first thing that comes to mind. But if you are looking for a great happy hour in Arlington I highly recommend Hunan Number One. Not only can you get quality chinese food, but their happy hour prices are those you cannot pass up, especially if you are on a tight budget. Half price bottles of wine and 32 oz beers at only $4. The best part? Their happy hour is EVERYDAY from 11 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. If you are in Arlington and looking for a great deal stop by Hunan Number One! I visited this place on 1/6/10 with two friends (all of us female). It started with a waitress with a bad attitude. But we somehow managed to ignore her and still order food. We all ordered food, but one item was asked to be returned and different item was ordered. Within minutes the manager came to our table with the exact same item we asked to be returned stating that he cooked it differently. None of us complained about this part, but the food was still not good. When the bill arrived we asked the waitress to remove the charge because the food was not good. The entire dish was visible for her to see that it had barely been touched. She returned with the manager and both refused to take the charge off the bill. And of course we refused to pay for an item that we didn't like. That is when the manager grabbed the bill from the table and threatened that we were never to come into his restaurant again/ we were not welcome. He did fix the bill though. It got worse when he started to harass us, but standing inches from our table as if we were now a threat to his restaurant. As we got our money together to pay the bill, he backed up a few feet but still stood watch over our table. He even threatened to call the police--I guess because we weren't leaving his restaurant fast enough, because by that time we are banned. Unfortunately my generous friend still left a tip. As we left the restaurant the manager followed us closely as if to say he was escorting ""us convicts"" out of his restaurant. This restaurant does not deserve to be in business for this kind of behavior. I go to restaurants to enjoy the food, not to be harassed by the staff. Cons: The entire staff. more

Who knew that an take-Chinese take-out place would have a "burger" option... and that it would be unique and truly tasty! The buns are a version of sticky bun that totally works (have tried the beef and fish burgers, and both were awesome). Their cold noodle dishes are both excellent, but I especially love (and I mean LOVE) the Dan Dan noodles with a house recipe peanut butter sauce. I know that probably sounds odd or even gross, but trust me, it's a level of delicious (and highly addictive) flavor that I never, ever would have imagined. Add to this the outstanding service (they once delivered noodles to me a second time simply because they thought they forgot it on my first order, which they hadn't, but happily told me to "enjoy!") I don't cook but try different places that deliver in Arlington for a hot meal, and this is the best Chinese delivery I've had thus far. Enjoy :) more
