Howl At The Moon

I had so much fun at Howl At The Moon! We went to say bon voyage to my son, who was leaving for a military assignment in China. I had no idea that we were going to be completely amazed and entertained...we only planned to stay for a couple of drinks, but before we knew it, it was last call and we were saying goodbye to the entertainers as if they were part of my own family. Aside from the incredible collection of talent on stage (five piano players play piano, drums, guitar, bass, keytar...), we laughed until our sides hurt and sang old familiar songs as well as new stuff we hadn't ever heard before. Katie, our server was incredibly busy, but always present and attentive...she must have had a couple of clones running around, because, although the place was packed, we felt like she was our own personal server. We ordered a bucket of beer and a gigantic bucket filled with Long Island Iced Tea with enough straws for our party to share. We heard every decade, every genre, every artist and every style imaginable...even when we tried to "stump" the piano players, they were able to meet the challenge and more. I mean really...RAP at a piano bar?!?!! I wouldn't have believed it unless I had seen it myself. DO NOT BE THE LAST PERSON IN HOUSTON TO GET ON THIS TRAIN! Me and my girl friends went for a night on the town, and absolutley LOVED this place. The atmosphere is filled with laughter, and it's just a place to be any time, any day. I am deffinatley goin back there soon. Pros: amazing. Cons: none. more

This place is amazing! Service was out of this world and the staff was beyond attractive. The bartender Dean was so handsom, funny, and sweet! You have to check it out, come early though! Cons: Just come early or you wont have a seat more

Went on Saturday with coworkers, arrived at 9:00 and had to pay cover to get in. No problem, yet when we get inside, there was not a single free table to be found. Everyone should go here at least once, its different from your typical bar/club in midtown. The drinks were good :) I don't think I'd go back unless it was for a bday/bachlerette party. I took the adivice of the other reviews and arrived at the bar early...."Thank God" because by 10pm the line was down the block. Two words to describe this Piano Bar ......FUN & ENTERTAINING. The waiters/waitress' were very tentive to the customers needs, I NEVER had an empty drink. I would highly recommend a quick trip to MIdtown to visit this piano bar.......You won't regret it! Wow what a great time, I had a horrible day at work, showed up on a Friday, not expecting anything but to get drunk. Within an hour, I was having the time of my life. The music is awesome and entertaining, The wait staff was attentive and all about giving great service. I used to work in the industry and customer service is a HUGE deal to me. They did not let me down. I strongly suggest you give it a try, I know I will be there, rain or shine. They made me a believer. I have been a huge fan of Howl at the Moon in San Antonio for years, and was so freaking excited to hear it was opening in Houston!! I went the night of the Grand Opening, and could not have had a better time! I really can't think of anything negative to say, except maybe the bathroom line got a little long, but it was the Grand Opening! The service was good considering how packed they were, the musicians were great and crowd seemed to have a blast! Pros: Musicians Cons: So much fun, so it will probably alwys be crowded! more
