Poorly managed facility, compromising patient safety and health 7/30/2012

I will never go to this hospital again for any procedure, nor do I want any of my family and friends to go there. I have worked for many years in the health care field in another state and the poor adherence to basic cleanliness by staff (used surgical gloves laying in public elevators, failure to wash hands by staff when in a patient room) is unparalled. Massive overpricing of ancillary services ( radiological procedures) upwards of 453% of the national average shows that patient care is not their primary goal. Poor training of staff on new computer programs resulting in completely unnecessary massive 4-5 hour delays in the E.R. Need I say more. HMC needs to get their act together. Poor protocol, needs to be reviewed from the top down. more

Awful experience at Houston Medical Ctr 5/16/2012

On Jan. 23, 2012 I had an accute Epistaxis. I went to the ER, they checked me in, put me in a room gave me about 10 gauze and forgot about me. Left me in the room for 5 hours,my nose bleed stopped during that time. When nurse finally returned she had me sign a release form stating I would not file a complaint against the hospital and released me. The Epistaxis returned in route back home. The hospital did nothing for me then charged me $800 fee. Will never use this facility again. more

Recent Stay 2/17/2011

This hospital is horrible. Absolutely no customer services. The nurses were rude and supervisors werent any better. They always act like i was faking an illness or seeking drugs. Any time i would call for something i was treated like i had interrupted them from something else important. Stay away from here Management is also rude maybe thats why the employees are the way the are. more

Recently, I've had to stay in the hospital, come back for lab work and return due to Chest Pains to the ER all within a month. My 5 day stay, on the second floor was really nice. The nurses were ready and available to help me at a moments notice. My room was kept clean and the food was good. All my questions were answered to my satisfaction. Scheduling of all my test were done in a timely manner, where I rarely had to wait once I arrived at my location. The Lab Techs were good, in that there were very little pain each time blood was drawn. When I later came back to the ER, I was taken right in to a room. I must have gotten there when there were only a few people waiting. I was taken care of in a timely manner and everyone was friendly and helpful. more

Awful customer service- RUDE! 11/14/2005

This hospital is awful. The ER staff is especially rude and not at all helpful. I cannot stand to go here and visit or go here for services. I have found I am not the only person that feels this way. If possible, try to get to one of the Macon hospitals! more
