IP is a great place to stay at the strip if you're there to gamble. The rooms are comfortable, and the location is great. It is right next to O'sheas, a Vegas favorite, and the ...

Rude and inconsiderate staff 2/9/2004

Many vegas hotels don't allow Sat arrivals, but if you're staying more than just the saturday night, they allow it. I emailed the Imperial Palace and they refused a Sat arrival, even though I was planning to stay for 4 days. I replied back, requesting that a Manager read my request. I never heard back. I've heard many bad things about the IP, and apparently, it's all true. Stay away! Pros: Nothing good Cons: , Unresponsive Mgmt, No Sat Arrivals more

THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN VEGAS!!! 2/2/2004

Just like in real estate, location, location, location. Located center strip, right across from Ceasers, you are in the middle of all the action. I paid $244 for three nights for Super Bowl Weekend, divide that with my buddy and then by 3 nights, it's 40 bucks a night! What a steal. It may not have the name recognition that some of the other Resorts have, but it is very clean and I have stayed 3x. Great buffets, loose slots and the best antique car display in the world. Pros: Mai-Tai Bar, Price, Location more

Ippy's Delight..... 7/1/2003

My friends and I recently stayed at this establishment and really enjoyed ourselves. The room is ok, but what do you need in there besides the bed, which was firm and comfortable. You cannot beat the location and the price. Be sure to try the Ippy's Delight at the Tea House and check out the automated horse racing not far from the Sports Book. Good prices, great value, excellent service! I cannot say enough good things about the IP! Pros: Location, Price, Service Cons: Slow Elevators, A hike to your room more

Cheap but good -- and boozy! 3/4/2003

The rooms are about as basic and utilitarian as they get. However, they're also about as cheap as they get on the strip, and the location can't be beat. Frankly, the service at IP was remarkable. Friendly, efficient. There was a strong sense that everyone was working HARD to make sure that your needs were met. The drinks were awesome, particularly the Mai Tais at the Mai Tai bar. And I have NEVER seen a casino where the liquor flowed more freely -- litterally if you stand still for more than 10 secs on the casino floor -- gambling or not -- a waitress will ask you if you want a drink. And they'll never let it get empty either. We ended up having a blast -- both at the IP and at the surrounding locales. Highly recommended. Pros: Cheap, Great Service, Drink Service in Casi Cons: Rather Tired Decor, Cheap more

I shouldn't of gambled 11/22/2002

I wish I had enough money to buy at least one of the cars here. They had an awesome collection of cars and they went through great detail on telling you all about the cars on the little ""name-plates"" they have. The neatest thing is that you can really buy these cars, makes you wish you didn't gamble first thing. But is was well worth getting ""stuck"" in the elevator on the way up! Pros: mustangs, old cars, fast cars Cons: high priced, not very friendly, gift shop too high more

My wife and I made our first trek to Las Vegas in October 2002. We chose the IP based on location and value. It was a great choice. Other than sleeping and showering we spent very little time in the hotel. The rooms were not luxurious, but served our purpose. It was clean, had a large bed and a hot shower. From there we were centrally located to spend time at the Bellagio, Caesar's, the Venetian, Treasure Island and many many more. We'll definately go back to the IP. Pros: location, inexpensive, location more

In the Heart of the Strip 10/14/2002

This was an excellent place to stay to be right in the middle of everything Las Vegas. The IP was nothing special in terms of ambiance, but it was clean and quiet and convenient. We were within walking distance of several of the bigger resorts. I'd recommend spending time at the IP pool (although it closes early; wish it were open into the evening) and taking a look at the wonderful classic car display. Pros: Auto display, Large pool, Heart of the Strip Cons: Slow elevators, Low ceilings more

Rooms ar GROSS!! 8/16/2002

If you plan on staying at the IP, you should really bring a gas mask. We had 2 rooms and both had an odor in the bathrooms that smelled like sewage. House Keeping stated there is a problem with the pipes and gave us air fresherner. The casino and women are great, just try to spend a lot of time out of the smelly rooms. Pros: casino, women, cheap Cons: rooms smell, slow elavaters, losing money more

Inexpensive but nice 8/5/2002

Booked the IP because we were looking for value and that's what we got. Nothing spectacular, but very nice. Good room with a view, room service was excellent as was Betty's diner and the buffet. Loved the car museum! Only complaint is elevator jams, slowwwww and usually a bit of a wait for a taxi. Would stay there again. It's very convenient. Pros: Clean, Friendly, Inexpensive Cons: Elevators, Taxi Wait more

Cheap Fun 5/20/2002

Looking for bargain lodging on strip? Try IP. The rooms aren't a chic as Bellagio, but for those who spend little time in the room, this place is just fine. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the casino is one of the few Strip spots that has Black Jack tables under $10. more
