I have taken my maltese to Carolyn for the past couple of years and found that she takes care to understand what you want and makes sure I am satisfied. One time I didn't think she took enough off and didn't have an opportunity to take him back for a week. She gave him a bath and cut him again to my satisfaction. more

Our family has tried Carolyn a couple times now and both times we have been unhappy. The first time was more of a careless mistake that we were unhappy about and it was about 4 years ago. I thought Iâ??d give her another try with my newly adopted little girl but this time did us in. She quoted me $40 for bath, nail trim, and haircut. Then she called me because my dog was scared of the clippers but informed me that the price would be the same with or without the haircut because she already bathed and trimmed my dog's nails and doesn't break down the price. So I told her to go ahead with the haircut. Three hours later I finally get my dog with the WORSE cut I've ever seen. THEN she charges me $50 because she had to cut it by hand instead of using the clippers. Seriously, I wish you people could see my poor puppy. Her face is completely lopsided because Carolyn cut too much from one side of her face and did a very blunt straight cut on the other side. She cut the tail so it hangs completely uneven and there are several fur potholes all over her and then areas where the fur is way too long. My poor dog looks like I tried to cut it at home.....actually, I probably could have done a better job and I am NOT a groomer. I will NEVER bring my poor little puppy to Carolyn again. more

I would not take my dog to anyone else in the 7 county metro area. i drive 40 miles to bring my dog \r to Carolyn. She always does a good job and is KIND. Her shop does tend to get messy but always cleans and sanitizes everything. Her dogs run shop with her and its nice to see people care for THIER own animals enough to bring them to work. Carolyn has been cutting my fur-babies hair since her days in Wayzata MN so going on 16 years. I WOULDNT TRUST ANYONE WITH MY BABY. A++++ more

We've been taking our dogs to Hot Dogs for a few years. It's always a gamble - sometimes the grooming is good and sometimes its uneven. Carolyn is the only groomer as far as I know and she doesn't always listen to what we ask for. Last week she kept our 2 dogs for over 7 hours because she got backed up and she would not let us pick them up early, even though we were at the shop demanding that she simply stop and hand them over. We ended up paying way too much for a bath and a poorly done, rushed trim. It's not worth it anymore. I am looking for someplace new. Pros: Good rates Cons: Poor service, loose dogs in grooming area, looks dirty more
