Hope 4 Kids Preschool & Infant/Toddler Center is a warm, friendly place dedicated to serving our community's children and families. We are constantly evaluating and improving our programs and services to best serve our enrolled families and staff. We are a non-profit and we reinvest resources into our programs, environment, services, and staff. We host Parent Enrichment Meetings with free child care and free healthy food giving parents opportunities to connect with each other, eat a healthy meal, and learn more about this incredible adventure of raising children to reach their full potential and become loving, responsible, contributing members of our community...and the world. \r \r We do not take caring for children lightly. We know this field is critical to our community's future and hire staff who are dedicated, loving, and professional who have more requirements, training and experience than required. We do this because we want the BEST for our children! We reinvest in our staff with monthly training and development meetings. We offer very competitive pay, health and medical benefits, child care benefits, fun in-service meetings, career growth opportunities, and educational reimbursement plans. We believe investing in our staff translates into investing in our children and families, as they are the ones providing direct care to children. \r \r We believe in healthy foods and pay more because we want as many locally grown and organic products as possible. We are a certified Outdoor Classroom Demonstration Site and participating in the Preschool Healthy Foods Initiative. We are the first preschool to have a commercial Tower Garden Farm. Because of our Tower Gardens and organic garden boxes, children are exposed to the process of growing healthy food, the difference between our food and store-bought food (taste, texture, appearance, nutritional value, etc.), the benefits of making healthy food choices, and the self-confidence of assisting in growing their own food. \r \r We are constantly looking for ways to make our program great so our children can reach their full potential, so our staff can feel fulfilled and continually make a difference, and so our management team can be equipped to coach and lead the greatest team of professional teachers possible. Quality. That's the word that comes to mind when I think of Hope 4 Kids preschool. It's clean and welcoming when we arrive in the morning, the kids are smiling working on something new the teachers are sharing with them, the gardens are gorgeous, and the staff are lovely. Our granddaughter is doing very well and we are thrilled with the care she is receiving at Hope 4 Kids. I am confident that she is getting everything she needs at school when I can't care for her. It is such a relief to know she's OK! I am so thankful to Hope 4 Kids for their efforts to build a truly wonderful place for children. I can't imagine what I would do without Hope 4 Kids! more

Hope 4 Kids has been a dream come true! My daughter is happy, healthy and always talks about her friends. The teachers are so helpful and informative and really pay attention to what she does during the day and give me a report so I know what she's doing! They always take time to talk with me and answer any questions I have. I'm so impressed with their suggestions and ideas about fun things to do at home and around our neighborhood. The outdoor classroom focus is truly a God send! She loves being outside and is so active. She's starting to talk about eating more salads and vegetables! This is the perfect place for her to be before she heads off to kindergarten. Their parent meetings are a great place to meet other families and they are always fun and I also learn new things every time. I highly recommend Hope 4 Kids preschool! more

We are so happy we finally found Hope4Kids!! We moved to Santa Barbara and we were looking for a place to enroll our little girl that would give her a chance to interact with other children and play outside. Hope4Kids has been incredible! All of the teachers are very attentive to her and to us. She has really grown since coming to Hope4kids. She cries because there is no school on Saturdays and can't wait for Monday to go! She sings songs she learned in class, she talks about all her little friends and is always wanting to share new things with us her teachers taught her. I wish Hope4kids would have been around when I went to preschool! It's always clean and the kids are ALWAYS smiling and playing together when we come. Even the teachers from the other classes talk with us to see if we need anything or if they can help us. I've never had this kind of service at a preschool. We are very happy and can't say enough wonderful things about Hope4kids! more

It blows my mind that people actually keep their kids in here. Although, if you foresee your child going to prison one day, this is perfect practice for living in general population. I was actually at a function and another parent jokingly referred to this (I thought I had come up with it, scary...).\r They basically throw all the kids together outside and the teachers stand around. This is what they call ""learning by playing"" which actually means they are too lazy to do a curriculum. \r Our son was bit several times by the same boy (who's father is active in the school events hence no punishment for him). They repeatedly told us that they would separate the kid from the group since he has problems with this, and basically weekly our son came home with bites.\r The last straw was he got bit again and teacher Amanda (who should be banned from childcare and life in general), ran up and yelled at our son. When my wife showed up to get him early and to remove him from the school teacher Amanda said it was our sons fault but when asked admitted she didnt see it. So that makes sense.....it couldnt possibly be the kid thats running around biting all the other kids. \r Our son was terrified here because they throw him in with all the bigger kids and its chaos, he got quieter while there so they tried to tell us he has autism. Our son sings, talks, laughs and interacts daily, and at his new fantastic school he is a bright light, he was just so scared. \r Our son had a teacher that he liked there and she left on her own terms because she didnt believe in the lack of education there, and after she left she told my wife how they treated my kid unfairly because he had liked her and somehow those two events are related and deserve punishment for a 3yr old. \r \r Great place to send your kid if he or she has a future in making license plates and eating with plastic sporks. \r more

I am a proud parent! Very satisfied! Customer service is outstanding! We joined Hope 4 Kids preschool about a year ago and have been thankful we chose this program every day. The staff are always over the top, the place is clean and I trust my kid is safe, having fun and learning. He's always happy to go to school! They have a cool nature program I wish I had when I was a kid! Can't say enough about Hope 4 Kids preschool! They have awesome gardens and my boy is eating veggies now!! more

My experience at Hope4Kids Preschool has been great! I am happy to know my son is having fun and making friends while learning so much. He always comes home happy, full of sand and talking about all the things he did at school. He even tries new vegetables now! They have a great preschool with caring teachers and I recommend this school to everyone! more

My son attended this pre-school at age 3. I would not recommend this school. Teacher Katies child was terrorizing my son - pinning him in the playhouse and kicking him when I arrived, and she just sat and watched?!?! \r \r I also discovered that my son was not learning anything, and was a bit delayed in his expressive speech. Teacher Katie's solution to this was to put him with the 2 year olds that didn't talk?!? I was not notified of this, and found out when I inquired. This makes zero sense, and his pathologist was shocked as well. \r \r My son also did not like to eat. Instead of giving him the Pedisure I provided after trying to get him to eat. They starved him for the entire day. I was appalled by the lake of love and care giving to my sone, and had zero confidence that my son was being cared for.\r \r This is not a school, this is over crowded free for all - day care without supervision. My son was getting bruises, cuts and bumps on his head daily. I have never seen my son push another child, and we are at Kids world 5 times a week - which he loves. Teacher Katie indicated that he was kicking and hitting other kids, and I now understand why - her sone was terrorizing my child. I would arrive to a starved child that was sitting in a dirty diaper for 4 hours, cut and bruised laying on the floor crying. If this is the experience your want for your child. Then this is the place to go. I realized finally that it was that he was so happy to see me each day when he jumped into my arms. He was so happy to get out of there!\r \r more

We are so glad we found Hope 4 Kids Preschool. Before our first day, the teacher came to our house to meet our son and get to know him. He is always excited to go to school! The teachers have a smile for us every day and are very professional. Our son loves his classmates and all the teachers! We are so happy and would recommend Hope 4 Kids to anyone wanting a great school. more

We are thrilled with Hope 4 Kids Preschool! They really go above and beyond EVERY day! The teachers are awesome, they serve and GROW healthy food, it's clean and the staff are super friendly. We have a great relationship with the teachers. They are very consistent and I don't have to worry about what's going on during the day. I wish I could have gone to a place like Hope 4 Kids when I was a kid!! more

We are extremely thankful for the love and devotion Hope4Kids has shown our children. We have had two children attend and they are both self-confident and not afraid to go outside and enjoy nature! My husband was so impressed when we went on a hike last weekend and our kids made it the whole way while talking about the plants, birds, trees, and smells like they were park rangers! This school has given our children things we can't because we both work all day. I have never been happier and will always recommend Hope 4 Kids! If we have another child we will DEFINITELY go to Hope 4 Kids! Best decision we ever made! more

I can never repay Hope 4 Kids for the love they've given my two children. The teachers are outstanding! My girls are confident, happy, and LOVE going to school! They learn about nature, about animals and bugs, they learn their letters and numbers. The girls have made so many friends at Hope 4 Kids! We love the care, thoughtfulness, and the obvious amount of time all of the staff devote to all of the children. We've never been happier and we tell all of our friends about this awesome program! more

I LOVE H4K! I wish I were still in preschool because Hope 4 Kids is WHERE I WOULD GO! Devoted, caring, energetic, enthusiastic teachers. Creative events and activities for our whole family. Be aware this isn't a good place for children. Lack of proper supervision, unorganized, high staff turnover rate, and inconsistent caregiving. more
