Painless process! 5/12/2010

This review is for the sales side of the house, Phillip Wong in particular. I was a little leery about buying a car on my own, but this was almost a painless process. Phillip quoted me a price via email, and our negotiations stayed close to that initial figure. I was out the door with a new car in about an hour. Well, not quite out the door since I had one option installed, but you get the idea. When it was time to pick up my car, Phillip came to BART and got me, and yeah, I know that isn't a big thing, but I appreciated the gesture. I also wanted to give a thankful nod to Mary in the Finance dept; she's very warm and funny. Lest you think that I'm only sunshine and flowers, I had been to Anderson Honda a few days earlier and had a bad experience. So I did appreciate the difference in how I was treated at Honda of Oakland.- P.P more

I was able to negotiate a reasonable deal on the car. 5/10/2010

I finally had a quick, painless process at a car dealership after weeks of shopping around and dealing with lots of shadiness. Isaac was pleasant, informed, and actually listened to what I wanted instead of trying to sell me what he wanted. I was able to negotiate a reasonable deal on the car without wasting too much time. The interest rate was fair, and there wasn't too much pressure. I was pleasantly surprised after my annoying experience with Concord Honda. Anjali K. more

Amazing car buying experience. Go see Montel or Phillip. Or Mary in finance. I did my homework, got an honest quote from them, and signed a contract with the purchase price, taxes and license. I'm not kidding. They did not attempt any car dealer acts of illusion. See my review on SF Ford... Also, consider re-doing your interior. These guys gave me a very fair quote to do a leather interior, used Katzskin which is nearby, and had it done in 2 days. Beautiful job. Anne R. more

He was easy going and funny - not at all one of the smarmy chaps I've experienced at various dealerships in the past. From start to finish everyone was attentive 4/1/2010

My Mother and I had a wonderful experience shopping and purchasing with VW Oakland. From start to finish everyone was attentive, but not "pushy" which made us very comfortable. David and Doug took time to explain things thoroughly and took our questions. Also, time was taken for our actual comfort and everyone at the dealership had very nice manners and a friendly sense of humor. Both my mother and myself were so happy with our experience.
