First, IT IS NOT TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. I replace 10 to 15 roofs a week this way. You have to know someone that knows ""policy"" and knows how to recognize ""LOSS"" in order to do it ...or just read your own policy (Most homeowners never do). If an incident is unforeseen, it is forgivable they cannot increase your rates. If they do, its incrementally done throughout the entire zip code.
Your insurance Agent is just as full of BS as the next guy. The only reason you listen to them is because you send them money every month. Because you send them money every month, you trust them, right? The reason they want to deter you from placing ANY claim is because it affects his/her bonus - you are taking money out of the salesman's pocket. they use scare tactics to keep you from doing it. I have collected a list on them.
Home Front Roofing's owner Ron is probably one of the biggest criminals you will ever meet. I have seen some real screwed up people in my days and I will tell you he has some real psychological problems. For starters, no one can stand to work with him, he smokes dope everyday, he is in debt up to his eyeballs and in a confrontation with someone all the time. You don't have to worry anymore because they are out of business. that is a good thing. For people looking for a contractor, the important things to consider is references - get them, do they have their debt under control (get lien wavers) and do they communicate with you and keep information flowing. I openly offer all of this and its the way to do business. Those are REAL things you look for in a contractor. If you really want to be safe get them to purchase a ""surety bond"". If an insurance company will not give them one - then stay clear.
Cons: Criminals
