I didn't have problems with Hinson the way that the people below did. I moved out last month and picked up my security deposit yesterday. $25 had been taken out (of $720) for problems that I considered reasonable.\r \r While renting from Hinson, I had few problems. Things broke at my house several times, and people were sent over to fix them in a timely manner. In addition, Greg and Candy were very friendly and helpful for the whole three years we lived there. I have no problem recommending Hinson Management as a rental company. more

Hinson Management is the worst company we ever rented from. \r \r You will not get your security deposit back!!!!!!!!!!!!\r \r After renting for over 25 years due to my husband working all over the country, we have never had a bad experience till Hinson.\r Our rent was always paid on time, we had the homes professionally cleaned, and always received reference letters from every place we rented.\r \r Our lease stated that we keep the lawn and shrubs trimmed. We had it done professionally for the 2.5 years we rented the home. \r \r When we moved out, Hinson had over $2,380 of professional landscaping done and kept our security deposit of $1,250, because they said we damaged the yard. They said they had pictures of the damage but will not produce them. I have attached the bill so you can see how bogus and trumped up this is. I also have added a letter from an Attorney regarding this matter.\r Hold the control key down to make the pictures larger. more

I too had a bad experience with this company !!! They are not honest people and you will lose money and have many regrets. This is not a hoax!!!!!!! more

Do not Rent from 8/16/2011

1 star is too good for this company. The only reviews I have ever heard from around the Boiling Springs area about Hinson are horror stories. I have spoken with people who have rented properties and allowed Hinson to manage them, as well as I have spoken with prior renties and two lawyers. All have said they are bad buisness. It is true!!! I too have a horror story and I am mortified that they are still in buisness. I pray that they will reap what they have sown melissacroom@live. more

Greg Hinson and his team 5/17/2011

Have patience and read. When I was moving from Hilton Head to Spartanburg. I looked at a couple of rental properties and the one I wanted was not available so I continued to search Hinson's sight and found the perfect property. Then when I continued I stumbled upon the reviews of Hinson Management. I saw a lot of bad reviews, but the property was perfect and I went with Hinson. To make a long story short I had a horrible move, everything went wrong and Greg kept telling me ""it will be alright"" well he was right, only because of his help was it ""alright"". My trailer carrying a very expensive cart had broke just as I was pulling into Hinson's office, he stored and was going to have somebody fix it for me.My father in law is a welder so he took care of it instead, but Greg was patient and helped in every way possible. The reason I posted such a long review is that I am in business for myself also and people never post when they are treated well, but if something goes wrong they are the first ones to post. Greg and his team are a first class company and I wish that every company that I dealt with would treat their clients in the same manner. So kudos to Greg and his team and thank you for helping me with the worst move I have ever had. more

Great Property Management 2/5/2011

Best landlord I've ever had. Whenever I had a problem, they had it fixed quickly, often within the same day. I found them very easy to talk with and very professional and efficient. And I did get my deposit back. I really don't understand the negative reviews online. Having lived next door to houses that were also managed by Hinson, I do know there are all kinds of renters. I wouldn't want the job of dealing with property damage and unpaid rent. It's impossible to please everyone, I guess. more

The worst mngt. company we've ever used. 5/1/2010

We have moved out and I must say we are very good tenants we cleaned everything including the carpet as per the rental agreement (PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT). We still got only the fraction of the deposit. \r \r \r I will advise anyone to stay away from this company as far as you can. They are very deceiving. You will pay a high price for dealing with them one way or the other. You absolutely must read the fine print and please do look at how many law suites they are in. I promise that you will find many people that have been misguided by them. Do not rent from them or use them as the management company. I am surprised they are still running their scheme of a business and someone has not closed them.\r Cons: will lie to your face and smile more

Don't Use This Company 2/25/2010

This company sucks you in by being nice and in a good location but heaven forbid if you ever move out. You won't get your deposit back and if you do it won't be much at all. They charge you for the stupidest things. Don't waste your time with them. Trying to have something fixed is impossible. I tried to have something fixed before I moved in and it had not been done when I moved out over a year later. Not to mention they use the most expensive people to fix things and if they think it was your fault you pay for it! They threw away one of my rental checks then tried to send me to court over it! Take my advise: NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! Pros: Great Locations Cons: Customer Service more
