GO ELSE WHERE!\r \r \r Took a brand new 5/30/2012

GO ELSE WHERE!\r \r \r Took a brand new bow in with sight, rest, and stab. Told a teen kid (that boasted how he can shoot any thing and take care of anything on any bow) that I needed my new bow setup for me to go shooting and if they can get everything installed and setup and sighted. He assured me that, that's what they do. 5 days later I came back to get my ready to shoot bow. I was told he needed to install a Peep (Ok expected that), a wrist sling (ok what ever), a new/different D-loop, and had to buy string wax. Ok, fine...\r \r Then I asked so how far did they sight it in for. He told me, they cant actually align the sight or do any shooting of it. That everyone is different, bla, bla, bla... I asked then what did they do? Just bolt on everything and charge me for it. He said I can go back and use the range to sight it in. I explained I was a beginner and that I Needed someone else to do that and that's why I went to them. And that he was able to do all that he said. \r \r I left with a bow that was no better for me then when I dropped it off, OR ACTUALLY WORST!\r I took it to Bass Pro Shops (A Nice store I might add!) and they opened the case and said sure they can sight it in for 20-30 yards. He looked closer at the peep they put on. The windings around the string were Loose and then found that they also added some string around the power string/cable. He asked me why they had to so that. I looked and said I duh know? \r \r They removed the added (Same color and texture as the peep added material and WAY different then the Martin stuff on the strings, and found that they must have cut the cable somehow and tried to fix it or HIDE it. \r \r SO I just called Hitech. They were combative, argumentative, and rude on the phone saying that they would never do that, that they can't sight in the bow, and that they are much more qualified the Bass Pro Shops.\r \r BOTTOM LINE, THIS PLACE EMPLOYS RUDE, LIEING AND POORLY TRAINED PEOPLE.\r \r GO ELSE WHERE! more

Great Store 3/31/2012

I went in to Hi-Tech Archery one saturday afternoon to look a inexpensive bow to buy my son for his birthday. When I went in there was a few people in front of me so I walked around and looked at all the bows and arrows. About 5 minutes later a man I forget his name (an older white man with a beard) helped me. I told him I wanted to buy my son a bow, but he recommended that I bring him in before his birthday to take a lesson to see if he even likes bows and arrows. That way if he doesn't like bows and arrows I did not waste $200. So I brought my son in on Tuesday and he was really enjoying the lesson, so during the middle of the lesson I went downstairs and bought him a bow. Since then I have been bringing my son in twice a month for a lesson. more

GOING THE DISTANCE 1/12/2011

I read the last review; Idon't know what they are talking about. I live L.A. county: l have two or three archery shops within 10 to 15 miles of my home; they are small and have low inventories, they don't have the selection or experence that Hi Tech Archery has. They answered all my questions. one ofthe emploies gave m a tour of there store; they have a two story building capable of having 15 to 20 stooters down stairs. there is a class room upstair larger to handle huge classes and parties, birthday and private. the teaching staff are trained at the olympic center. \r \r So I ask you, dose this sound like a compamy that woul treat someone like they were not important? more

Not what they say 3/22/2009

I was treated badly by these people, as if they didn't want me in the shop even though I spent more than $100 within 10 minutes. Also I agree with other reviews which state that they are not forthcoming with info, even misleading, and seem to act like a new customer is just not part of their ""club"". It is interesting to note that after truthful reviews such as this one, suddenly there appears a whole slew of 5-star reviews that sound pretty contrived if you ask me. Nice try, but neither I nor my friends will ever spend another dime here. Pros: good selection of products Cons: enough to subtract 4 stars! more

decent service. 9/27/2008

Hi-Tech keeps every piece of equipment in stock. I would not advice new shooters to purchase right away on equipment. I purchased a full recurve bow with their help and after 2-3 months or so, i have found that there were much better alternatives that they did not mention. Therefore having to pay up more. This is the ideal store for experienced shooters and know what they want. They have a great indoor range to shoot. The guys at Hi-Tech are great but could give more knowledge and advice to new shooters. Be aware that their return service can be dodgy. Pros: expansive amount of products Cons: No advice given to sort through the different products more

Expected more, sadly dissapointed. 7/17/2008

After reading all the great reviews on this establishment I decided to head there instead of a couple of smaller archery pro shops near me to gather info and purchase a bow as a new shooter. Sadly though my experience wasn't anywhere near what others have said. They didn't seem forthcoming on any information for a new shooter, gave no recomendations on any equipment, and basically left me to ask feeble questions, using my limited knowlege of recurves, in order to gather any info to start out. I felt very much as an outsider both times I went there. I would only recomend this place for somewhat knowlegable archers, but anyone new to the sport should maybe find an alternate pro shop for information or to be fitted for a recurve. Pros: Wide selection of equipment. Cons: Very poor customer service. more

The Archery place to shop: 7/26/2007

HI: I'm Deadeye's buddy! I was big into archery in the 60's n 70's. I went 2 HI-TECH with bob as a semi\r interested ""with alot of question's"" ride along! From the min. we walked into the shop ; it was like old friends all around you !! There was't a question to dumb; or to complicated that Joe or the staff wasn't ready and able to answer !! Needless to say I walk out of there a fully set up PSE BRUIN. I've been to a lot of shops over the years and have never encounterd such professtionalism! You can go anywhere and buy a bow; \r but i think it will be hard to find a shop with such integerty!!! For me; HI_TECH ARCHERY is the place I'll\r be doing my archery business!! My only problem is I wish they were located closer to me! Also the prices\r are very competive!!\r A very satified customer!!! sabwest14 Pros: prices, knowledge, stock, friendly staff Cons: it's in Fullerton more

2 guys visit Hi Tech Archery 7/20/2007

Well I visited Hi Tech Archery with my buddy today. I had bought a PSE bow on Ebay and wanted it inspected and a honest evaluation of its condition. I have to say Joe was so nice and helpfull. I have had other shops just shine me on. Joe took his time and looked my bow over and give me his opinion. They tuned my bow up and had it ready in a couple of hours. In the mean time my buddy was looking for a new bow. He had lots of questions. Joe answered each question. He also took a new bow and set it up for my buddy. (A test drive) Joe's staff worked with him while he shot the bow and made adjustments. This is something he and I had not encountered, at anyother shop we had visited. My buddy ended up buying the bow and all the trimmings. If it wasn't for the service and friendly staff, my friend and I received. There wouldn't have been a sale. All the people of Hi Tech Archery are first class. There service is tops in my book. One very happy customer. Bob Springer more

Great service, outstanding selection, very reasonable retail prices...is Hi-Tech really in California?? 12/24/2006

First off, I would characterize my past 3 years of expericences with various businesses in California as quite negative. In general, bad customer service, overpricing & an overall lack of quality & ethics.\r \r I've been to almost all of the archery stores within a 100 mile radius of Anaheim Hills. I can not say enough about my experience with Hi-Tech Archery. On several occasions the owner personally stayed 1.5hrs past closing to thoroughly explain the pros & cons of the products I was considering. The extra advice saved me hundreds of $$. Furthermore, the indoor range is very nice & seems to draw a pleasant group of regulars. Upstairs has another range used for instruction, and the coaches I've spoke with and observed shooting seem really good.\r \r Bottom line. I do not work at Hi-Tech nor do I know any of them beyond the 6-8 times I've been there. That is the honest truth. I have seen enough to recognize a business that has a outstanding sense of quality, value and ethics.\r \r Pros: read the review Cons: State of California working over well run small business like this with excessive taxes, regulations more

Hi-Tech Archery hits the mark 10/25/2003

I am a new archer, and after doing some research on riders, limbs, arrows, etc. it was time to narrow it down some more and buy something. There are several archery shops in the area, but none were as well stocked in recurves as Hi-Tech. They have a lot of compounds, too, and their staff is friendly and almost frighteningly knowledgable about the field. They have two indoor ranges and classes during the week and on Saturday. They were also willing to deal, which is nice. Pros: Selection, Service, Prices Cons: In Fullterton more
