If you haven?t been to Hi5, at least to watch a game, you need to. The place is filled with TVs and like-minded sports fans. They even have their own free fantasy football leagu...

The food is great...they just get to compensate how much money they lose from it, with over charging on drinks. I would rather go somewhere else where everything evens out! Pr...

5 Bucks!!! 5/10/2007

I take the family to Hi 5 all the time. We order multiple items and make it our own buffet table. The burgers are great and having my own TV in a booth works out great. Great food and drinks! Sports food and drinks! Pros: Great Food and TV's Everywhere more

Very Impressed with this Sports Bar! 7/28/2006

First, I'll echo the last reviewer's sentiments. $5.00 bucks?! Special Draft beers (Good Ones -not just the likes of Miller/Bud/Coors) for $3? WOW! They have a lot (I believe over 200? ) beers on the menu. I too was also expecting really small plates, but the portions were more than adequate. My friend ordered the ""Cheesy Poofs"", which were very good, and I ordered the Fried Wontons w/ Crabmeat. Those were extremely delicous, and not over-fried like in most places. We proceeded to order Burgers - I had the Surf and Turf (Medium), and my friend ordered a Mushroom-Swiss(Medium) . Usually I don't like to mess up a burger w/ seafood, but this one was stacked with a Crabcake, and I love crabmeat. Not only were the burgers a really nice size, but the meat was excellent. They were done perfectly and tasted extremely good. One thng to note, that you do have to order sides alacarte. We ordered steak fries, that came piled up high like a perfect Jenga Tower, and were also seasoned perfectly. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality, service and price of the food. This place is so much better than other sports bars. The other places have the same generic menu. Let's not forget the the Sports is what makes a sports bar, and there was PLENTY of that around. Big screen LCD and Plasma TVs everywhere to pretty much view any sporting event desired. The staff was very courteous and took really good care of us. Pros: Great Food, Value, Service Cons: Couldn't find a single thing to complain about more

5 bucks!?!?!?! 7/21/2006

The whole menu is $5. Everything. I thought the portions would be skimpy, but I could barely finish my burger! quality was excellent! Pros: $5 menu, 250 beers! Cons: location, i live in N. Raleigh! more

smoky sports lovers haven 3/24/2006

We had a wonderful waitress who was constantly checking to make sure we had all we needed. Our food was served quickly, and was very good for bar food. The entire place was very smoky, and we both left reeking of it. My hair, pants, shirt. . everything. There are many screens, so it was a great place to watch basketball. however, there were ZERO vegetarian options on the menu. Even their salads have meat on them. With a long list of burger options I expected at least a veggie burger or something. Parking was a bit difficult Pros: great location, friendly staff, great for sports fans Cons: no vegetarian options, smoky, parking more

Only go in Fall.... 11/3/2005

I've been to Hi5 since it remodeled...much better than before. I went on Sat. a few weeks ago and had Fall (Autm) as my waitress. Super hot, super nice. My friends and I had a great time and have been back to see her since. She mentioned that she works every Saturday so we'll see her there tomorrow! more

FANTASTIC!!!! 6/22/2005

240 Beers makes this The #1 place in the Triangle for beer selection! drink them all and you get 1/2 off your food for life! New American Tapas menu is great contrary to the previous Bogus review. Flat screen TV's at every table, Plasmas and big screens everywhere and a Sports lounge and private room that just flat out ROCKS. Specials include 1.50 cans of beer Sunday for Football Season, $8 all you can eat wings Monday, $3 everything behind the Bar Tuesday, buy 1 get one Apps on Wed., and Thursday is Raleigh's best ladies night with 1/2 price martinis and 1/2 off food for the ladies. The VJ music system is a blast BTW. Management, Staff and Ownership of Hi5 totally commited to providing their guests with a great experience! Pros: Food and service, TV's and Music, Great Specials! Cons: None. more

Never again 6/17/2005

If you're into blasting 80's music, cold apps, and bad service - the ""all new"" Hi5 is for you. While the place looks nice with the upgrades and the music system is modern, you can't overlook the fact that #1 - you CAN NOT hear anyone talking to you (you have to point to your order on the menu because the servers can't even hear), #2 the food is cold and bland, #3 the ""wait-staff"" is less than cordial. There are many other places downtown where you can enjoy an evening out while listening to good music and enjoying good food and drinks. Pros: updated look, modern sound system Cons: LOUD!!!!, bad food, bad service more

Best Place to Go in Downtown Raleigh 6/16/2005

Everything is different; the food is now very high quality, their are over 200 beers on tap...these guys added an incredible vj music system. Perfect place for a private party! Now offering casino entertainment weekly. New hardwood floors have been added throughout as well as flat screens at every table. Still offers the dance club feel - just a cleaned up version...ladies who have gone seem to love this place because of the new dance floor area, the music and the ambience. Plus, bring in a Citysearch Offer and receive 50% off food through June! Pros: Hardwood Floors, Quality Cuisine, Entertaining more
