I recently had a medical problem that needed immediate attention and did not want to go to the emergency room. A local resort recommended the Gulf Beaches Medical Clinic. After I called them that morning I was actually able to get an appointment at noon that same day.
This was my first doctor visit in 5+ years. I am very apprehensive about doctors and just don’t go unless I absolutely have too. After only having to wait for 5 minutes I was taken back and greeted by a very friendly staff. Both Jamison and Melissa made me feel right at home and even though my blood pressure was up a little – basically because of my significant fear of doctors. The nurse spent a lot of time with me and was able to calm me down. She was genuinely concerned. (I guess it was kind of simple to tell that I was a little uneasy).
This is the best medical experience that I can remember. Dr. Merritt was very helpful and also spent a lot of time with me. I am delighted with the level of care that I received.
I am also very grateful that they were able to help me the same day that I called and would highly recommend this medical clinic to any out of town traveler or to someone like me that lives here. It is a very small practice and is how I remember a doctor’s office being when I was small.
