Grossman Furniture

We recently moved into a new townhouse and needed to furnish a few rooms. We are very happy with the furniture we got and the customer service was terrific. We dealt with a salesman named John Bosch who was extremely knowledgeable. The prices were great and I specifically wanted furniture made in the USA and they carry quite alot of manufacturers who fit the bill. The furniture was delivered on time and the movers were very professional. I will definately go back to them in the future. more

We ordered a beautiful bedroom set for our boys and what we received was a damaged chest of drawers that had been touched up. Now a repairman has to come out and try to fix it. There has been no offer of a new one--even though it was over $850. Completely and utterly disappointed!!! Thinking of calling News station to do a story--I know a producer. When I call the store--they just tell me ""Be calm"". more

Long story short, I ordered two couches that arrived not only 2 months late, but also damaged. It took another 4 months to get the couches fixed. I was compensated (after a lot of phone calls) $350 and was given a 5 year warranty for free. About 3.5 years later I have a stain on my couch. The company that does the warranty work went out of business. Grossman's said they will ""try"" to send me a bottle of cleaner, but if that doesn't work I will have to pay to get it cleaned. They would not honor their end of the deal at all. This is not the coverage or the service I paid for. It was also mentioned to me via 2 people that they have had ""multiple 3rd party warranty companies"" go under in the past. I want to know how many people like me invested money in a company that is not upholding their end of the bargain. more

Being a younger single guy, I realized I needed help picking out furniture for my new place. After I had shopped a Big Box and found nothing interesting, my sister recommended Grossman. The woman that worked with me really knew what she was talking about and everything turned out great. more

I stumbled upon their website while looking for dining room furniture. When I contacted them to see if they had the pieces I was interested in I was very surprised by their prices. They were lower than anywhere else I looked, even a local furniture outlet mall. AJ & John were very helpful and made sure I had my new furniture before Christmas even though there was a mix up with the factory. I will definitely use them again and have recommended them to many of my friends. Pros: Great customer service more

Thank God for the people at Grossman's Furniture. I was totally left high and dry by the last place I shopped. I live in South Philly and thought buying furniture at Seaman's was a smart move since they were right in my neighborhood...BAD IDEA! They've gone out of business AGAIN! The people at Grossman's helped me complete furnishing my house, and they stand by their products in case something goes wrong - which Seaman's NEVER did. The prices were great and the people are really nice. My salesman John was a huge help. So far, I've gotten a beautiful entertainment center, furniture for my son's room, a buffet to match my existing dining room set, and even lamps and end tables for my den. \r \r The store is really big and they do have alot to choose from - as others here have said. They have free parking - which isalmost unheard of for Center City, and they're open every day - so the hours are really convenient. All the people I've talked to and worked with are great. And yes, they do actually call and make sure your happy with your furniture. Even the delivery guys were nice. They were quick, they cleaned up after themselves and they arrived right on time. I'd recommend Grossman's to anybody. I think they're great. \r \r Pros: Open every day, big store and lots of everything to choose from. Cons: Nothing so far! more

We came to Grossman's in Center City to buy the furniture I'd seen at two other stores closer to my home in New Jersey, because Grossman's had the best prices of anywhere we shopped. Their website has lots of great stuff - but walking around all their showrooms was so much better. It's amazing how much stuff is in this store! The saleswoman was very very helpful and found me the exact living room set I saw at another dealer in Jersey for a lot more money, and there was even someone who called to make sure I liked everything I bought after it was delivered. It's great to know I got good quality furniture and still saved a lot of money. I even sent my Mom and Dad there for new furniture for their shore house. They are really nice people and the prices are amazing. Definately worth the trip. You should check them out. Pros: saved me lots of cash, had beautiful furniture on display, salepeople were helpful and not at all pushy Cons: absolutely nothing more

I went to Grossman's Furniture on a friend's advice because I wanted to find furniture that didn't look like everyone else's. What I found was a giant selection of beautiful furniture for every room in the house, at really great prices. My salesman was really helpful and managed to keep me within my budget. I got my furniture delivered just this past weekend, and it is beautiful! I LOVE IT ! A woman from the service department even called me the same afternoon to make sure my delivery arrived on time, and that everything was assembled, and to make sure I was satisfied with what I bought. She was SO nice! Even the men who delivered my new furniture were great. They got all my new pieces in and set up exactly as I asked them to. They were quick, neat and very helpful. They say they are a family owned business - and that's exactly how they made me feel...like family. I'd recommend this place to anyone!! Pros: Nice people, lots to pick from, awesome prices and very convenient hours. Cons: Too much beautiful furinture to pick from ! more

No matter where else I have shopped for furniture, I always get the best prices and the best service at Grossman's Furniture in Center City. I have been shopping at Grossman's for over 15 years, and have never had a complaint. The salespeople are very knowledgable, they will beat anybody's price, and on the occasions I needed the service department, they were quick, efficient, and great to deal with. I go to the same saleperson -Neel- all the time, and I never have a problem reaching him, or getting answers to any questions I might have. \r \r I'm suprised at the person who has had so much of a delay with his/her delivery - since I've never had a problem with getting the pieces I 've ordered. From orders as big as entire living and dining room sets - to small orders for a single accent table or an area rug, the deliveries on everything were within days of what I was promised when I made my purchase. I've even bought the mattresses for my bedroom furniture at Grossmans. I'd recommend Grossman Furniture - and have - to anyone. They have a beautiful store, convenient parking and tons of stuff on display. Anything you see somewhere else, they can get it for you, and save you money on it too. Good luck receiving your delivery once you order. I've been waiting for 3 months, and am still waiting. My order was received and ready for delivery a few weeks ago, but turned out to be the wrong item. I caught that, they didn't. Now I'm waiting again, and once again we have exceeded the estimated wait time. I also get a different person each I time I call, who knows nothing of the last call and gives a different story each time. I was told once that it had been shipped and was on it's way. Today I was told that it will be shipped sometime this month. I will not order from this store again. Ever. In the time I have waited for this order, I have received 2 others, from different stores, that I ordered AFTER this order. This has been a real mess.
