answer to New Management? How about new dealers? Aug. 30, 20 9/3/2010

I was a dealer at Greenville, and a floor walker. This rev iew came out two days before Stillwater opened, so it was not written by a customer. We know who wrote it, we know who you are, and will take it from where it comes. Workers did not grab all the good stuff, we were not allowed to shop the days that we worked. Some dealers had prices that were too high, and some never changed stuff in their booths, but it's like that in every shop, not only there. It doesn't make it right, but that's the way it is.l I never considered my customers suckers, I kept my prices fair, and changed the things in my booth and cases. I resent you saying I'm not an ethical employee, and I am not a clueless moron. This business will thrive now that Jean, Nick, and Michael own it. The reset button was reset the day Jean, Nick, and Michael took over ownership. Stop by and shop, you won't believe the new attitude in Stillwater. Sit and relax with a cup of coffee. Stop in and see the Coca Cola room New name, new attitude, new owners. Beth more

NEW MANAGEMENT? HOW ABOUT NEW DEALERS? 8/30/2010

Greenville Antiques used to be THE place in the 90's. We were all collecting something back then and Greenville had it ALL. And the prices were GREAT.\r \r But this co-op really changed past Y2K. Ebay poisened it, with workers grabbing all the good stuff before paying customers ever had a chance to even SEE it.\r \r I caught employees SEVERAL times braging about items they scored out of dealers booths right after they were loaded. They also bragged how they put the stuff right on ebay.\r \r Not good for the customers.\r \r Prices also CLIMBED to levels SO ridiculous that absolutely NOTHING sold anymore. You would see the same stuff languishing for years. Literally.\r \r It was a place for dealers to bring their mistakes and ""ebay rejects"" to try and pawn off on some ""sucker"". No thanks.\r \r The dealers here are SO OFF BASE with their pricing, Greenville became a place to AVOID in the last few years.\r \r So Greenville will get a new name and new mangament - HOW ABOUT NEW DEALERS? How about ETHICAL EMPLOYEES?\r \r If not, this same crew of clueless morons will bankrupt the new owners.\r \r Fire 'em ALL and hit the reset button. Otherwise don't even BOTHER re-opening this pit.\r \r more

Under New Management 8/19/2010

I've been going there for a few yrs now. Yes, I had my issues with the former owners and the so called fllor walkers but, I have an eye for a bargain and we found awesome buys from rock-maple furniture to brick a brack. I found out today it will be opening Sept. 1st after renavations under a new management. Not Greenville Antiques any longer, same phone # new name. more
