I have already made a formal Better Business Bureau complaint against this company .We have a home warranty, so we had no choice as to the company who came to ""fix"" our A/C unit. Called 3/29. First serviceman from this company came 4/6 & seemed like he knew what he was doing. He fixed some wiring and noticed we were out of freon so definitely a leak. He injected dye into the system and said someone would come back out to use a black light to locate the the leak. 4/9 an evaporator coil was ordered. Timing of this is weird since it wasn't until a week later when Ed (owner of the co) arrived, went into attic, came back stating the upstairs unit needs a new evaporator coil. CGAC told the home warranty co the job would be complete by 4/30. But, darn, those parts are ALWAYS back ordered. So, 5/13, after heat from us and the warranty co, the part finally arrived and Ed came back. He went into attic, came back and asked, ""Are you sure that is the unit for upstairs?"" WHAT??! He stated, ""We have a problem. I just replaced a perfectly good evaporator. I'll have to order the part for the other unit."" He had replaced the evaporator on the wrong unit. Ed was quickly reminded that HE was the one who stated that was the unit for upstairs and that it needed an evaporator coil. He was asked if he had looked for a leak on his last visit when he had determined a coil was needed. He answered, ""No. I never do that."" He tried blaming the first serviceman and even said, ""You know if you paid cash, it would take a week. But, since you go through a home warranty, it takes a month."" Seriously?? Our warranty co verified that this isn't true information. GCAC is responsible for all ordering of parts. There is no extra time needed. Ed left knowing we were very upset. The new, and much improved, serviceman from another company came the day after I called, immediately diagnosed the problem AND pointed out that the evaporator was missing from the unit! Ed had, for some reason, taken the evaporator with him. To make matters worse, the two units in the attic are the SAME EXACT unit therefore the parts are interchangeable. No new part would have been needed. However, the unit isn't even able to be repaired. It needs replacement. Which is what is happening now. GCAC was going to order another part which would not have even fixed the problem. We got nowhere with this company after 6 weeks! \r An entirely new company diagnosed the problem, sat on my stairs & called the home warranty company, explained the problem, received authorization for ordering a new unit, ordered a new unit, communicated everything with us, showed professionalism & respect, and left all within an hour. I highly recommend you do NOT use GCAC. Oh, and the owner's responses speak for themselves. And for him to claim there are false, negative reviews on here?quite laughable. Not sure where he gets 98% customer satisfaction rating either?? I would make a bet the positive reviews are the false ones. If you want to know how legit this complaint is Mr. Martin, please do ask. Consumers, don't forget to file BBB complaints! more

Poor customer service. Would not recommend doing business with this company if a good alternative is available. Store botched scheduling a service appointment and would not reschedule at a time convenient for me to be available. Store manager hung up on me when I questioned why she would not reschedule my service visit for the next day in as much as the store failed to schedule on the date I requested originally and stayed home waiting for the repairman. Let me say the service men are tops. Dan Cunningham, Denton Texas. more

Terrible Service 9/1/2014

Home Depot contacted Grayson Collin Appliance to repair an LG washing machine. On the morning they were scheduled to do the repair, they called to reconfirm the time and then asked what the problem was. I told them I kept getting an LE error code. They immediately said they had to order parts and it would be 3-11 days for the parts to come in. I told them I had given them the LE error code when they called me to set up the appointment and asked why the part wasn’t ordered then. No response. I had waited 9 days only to be told I would have to wait another 3-11+ days.\r Thirteen days later they called me to come install the parts. At 12:30 PM they said they would come to my house between 3-6 PM. No one came and no one had the courtesy to call and let me know they weren’t coming. I called about 6:15 and all I got was a message saying they were closed and please call back the next day. I had now waited 22 days after the initial call for service.\r They next morning they called more

They wanted to schedule a time that day to install the parts. I told them no one had shown for the first two appointments so why should I believe anyone would show then. I asked to speak to the owner Mr Martin. The said he was on service calls and they would have him call me when he came back in around 5:00 PM. I asked if they had a way to contact him and they said yes but he probably wouldn’t have time to talk to me. I told them to have him call me if he was interested in my business. Apparently he wasn’t because I never heard from him.\r I would NEVER do business with a company like this who has no regard for the customer.\r more

Our experience with this contractor was 5/31/2012

Our experience with this contractor was TERRIBLE, and we are not difficult people to work with. Our daughter's room became HOT this summer...with her vents fully open barely any air blows out at all. A Grayson-Collin tech was dispatched via Fidelity, our warranty company, and ""repaired"" a hole in our ductwork on Monday, and in leaving said, ""If you have anymore problems, call us because maybe there's a hole I missed patching."" Our daughter's room continued to be hot, so... ...we called them next day,Tuesday, and they said they would be out the FOLLOWING Tuesday to find perhaps another hole in the ductwork. My daughter's room was hot the entire week and weekend, and we all looked forward to getting relief for her. (Her elderly grandfather's room is across the hall from hers, and his room is cool, just as a piece of information.) However; Grayson-Collin did not show up! Instead, they called our warranty company, Fidelity, and told them that THEY HAD BEEN TO OUR HOUSE ON THURSDAY, and our unit was ""working as designed."" They were NOT here on Thursday, which our warranty company, Fidelity, was finally able to determine. Grayson-Collin suddenly claims that our air conditioning system is poorly designed and doesn't work because the ductwork is inadequate, which is strange to us because it HAS been working in previous summers (we are friends with the previous homeowners), and prior to moving in, we had a certified inspector look at it. Also, why is it that the room across the hall is cool? Still, since we were having problems they didn't fix, Grayson-Collin made an appointment via Fidelity to come the following Friday, but Grayson-Collin themselves called me at 5PM or so Thursday evening and said they'd be there the following Monday instead. Needless to say, we asked our warranty company to transfer our contract to Dimension, which has been here and done super work for us with cheerful attitudes. Fidelity graciously obliged, with great sympathy to our situation and our daughter's discomfort. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. If I could give negative stars, I would. more

A Very Good Company 12/26/2011

The review by the lady writing about the Whirlpool Duet dryer-Has to be some kind of bad joke! She could:nt locate anyone except some joker from craigs list, mad at Grayson Collin Appliance because someone else charged a bunch of $ and did:nt repair the unit and she finds GCA to come out, repair what they did, gets the control board that she bought online repaired, reinstall the terminal block(why it was sparking)ONLY charges her 115$ for all this and she is gripping????? Sounds like Grayson Collin Appliance did a great job and did it at a great price. This goes to show that even a company with a 98% approval rating still cannot please everyone!Next time lady go back to craigs list and dont bother Grayson Collin Appliance.GCA strives to please everyone at a very reasonable price.I hope normal people will see how rediculous her review really is.Thank you .E Martin more

Grayson Collin Appliance and AC 12/26/2011

I have loved my Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer until the weekend of Dec 4th when my dryer quit working. Monday morning I begin calling every appliance repair company after goggling it. NO ONE wanted to come to Trenton for my type of dryer including Grayson Collin Appliance per a very rude woman! Finally found someone on craigslist who determined it was my interface and the part could be picked up in Dallas($200.00). I took the whole section because there was a core charge but apparently the board was supposed to removed so they removed it returning the turn knob outer piece and new part in box. CL repairman returned to install and knob has piece broke off, board wont fit with buttons sticking out. Called parts people who say it is the correct board and the knob was""was already broke"".So why not tell me and sell me a new one???? CL repairman gave up but he still needed to be paid for 2 trips from OK($175.00). At this point I consulted the INTERNET self help who made a suggestion to install and recommended Grayson Collin Appliance. I called again female who answered was again rude so I asked to speak to repairman himself. He said Yes they did service my area ALMOST daily and could come out in the morning. I had managed to get the board in correctly and reassembled the dryer but it sparked when started. 2 repairmen arrived in the morning took the dryer apart again said the interface came from the factory with something bent but the one in charge knew how to fix. Excited that I finally found some one who would come to my area I asked about replacing the glass on my stove..instead of taking my model number which I had wrote down for him, he gave me a number to call SINCE I SEEMED TO BE A DOIT MYSELF TYPE! charged me $115.88 and left. Do I have a dryer that works??? how would I know the knob totally broke the first time I tried to use it and I'm afraid it will spark again since he never explained why that happened! So now this so called ""doit yourselfer"" will be buying a new dryer, it won't be a nice one either since I spent $490.88 to fix this one plus a new stove since Grayson Collin Appliance sure didn't want to fix it!!! Would I recommend them NO WAY! Oh and as for their $10.00 off any service in the month of December that is false advertising too! more

NO CALL AND NO SHOW!!!!!!!! 7/29/2010

I have a warranty on my refrigerator and they contracted out the repair on it to Grayson Collin Appliance. They were to come out on 7-20 from 8-12pm. I heard nothing from them and had to call them at 11:30am. They said they did not know what happened but they could reschedule me for later that day. I let them know that would not be good for me due to I own my own company and I have work that I put on hold for them. They said that they could reschedule me for late that next day. I said that would not work. So I was put on hold for over 15 min. and their tech shows up at the door. The tech has to order the right door he said that he would call me when the part comes in. I gave him my cell phone #. The office called my cell phone on 7-27 and said they would be out in the morning. By 11am still no call and no show from them. I call them. She said that they had me on the schedule 9-10:30am and since it was already passed that time she would need to reschedule. ONCE AGAIN NO CALL AND NO SHOW AND I HAVE TO BE INCOVENANCED! Not sure how I can get a call with no problem from my cell phone to schedule appointment but can't get the tech to call or show up for appointment! Pros: Refrigerator Repair Cons: Can't get anyone to house when they say they will come! more

Grayson Collin Appliance has the best service 10/1/2009

I was very pleased with the service I received from Grayson Collin Appliances. Several months ago my Kenmore refrigerator went out & I was prepared to buy a new one. Saw their ad on TV, called them they were at my house at 1010 the next morning. The refrigerator was fixed. I just called them again to fix the same refrigerator. Nothing bad to saw about them. more

Great people and company 3/11/2008

This company is absolutely great. They came to my house the very day that I called them. I was having problems with my washer leaking all over the place. They came out diagnosed and repaired my unit the very same day. I would highly recommend them to all of my friends. Granted not everyone can be pleased all of the time but I certainly was. Pros: very fast and knowledgable Cons: can't think of any more

Best appliance repair 3/11/2008

Very friendly personnel, willing to help and cooperate with even my bad moods. I was late, but technician waited for me to arrive and fixed my refrigerator. He gave me helpful hints on my old dishwasher on too much dishwashing cleanser not being good for it. He had to order the part for the refrigerator and got it right the first time. My experience with technicians in the past, they had to come back because they ordered the wrong part. I was very pleased with the service and low prices I was charged. Pros: Reliable Cons: have to wait for parts more
