Love, Love, LOVE this office! 6/9/2008

I have been seeing Dr. Scott for 3 years now and I have recommended him to all my friends(3 of which all see him now!). He is very thorough but efficient at the same time and he really listens to the parents. I don't know why everyone says the staff is horrible, because I've never encountered anything but pleasant when I call or go in for an appointment. What I really like is that the nurse always gets back to you quickly and it's only been twice that I couldn't get my sick kid into see the Dr, in which case, I saw either Dr. Robert or Wendy the NP. I have seen Dr. Robert a few more times(when Dr. Scott was on vacation) and I have to say that I see why so many people like him, but I wasn't all that impressed. I really didn't feel like he listened to me, instead, he pre-diagnosed my son before he even examined him and he didn't even look in his ears or nose(my son was in for a persistent, dry cough). However, Dr. Scott is wonderful and I have complete confidence in his abilities. I was reading below how the person thought Dr. Robert did a great job diagnosing Plagiocephaly and I must add that so did Dr. Scott. He listened to my concerns and after examination, he referred me to Cranial Technologies for a DOC band. I will say that the two doctors have very different personalities: Dr. Roberts is sort of ""Mr. Too Cool for School."" and Dr. Scott is more of ""Quirky Brainiac."" I absolutely recommend this office!!! Pros: Dr. Scott really listens to you, efficient, never wait too long Cons: He doesn't bring something up unless you ask...so have your list ready! more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS HPPOCRATIC OATH BE DAMNED 9/5/2007

Well, I move to Texas and so I'm looking for a physician for my 5 yr old. My son has ADHD forgive me please once again. Dr Scott is not accepting any new patients with this condition. What do I mean by this, you ask? I am told because he has no time to see patients that actually may take more than a 5 minute office visit. So, buyers beware. As long as your children are healthy and you have no concerns about your child's health and don't have any questions to ask or concerns to voice to Dr Scott, then you have no problem. (Hyppocratic oath be damned) But, I would ask if your child is always healthy you would never have to see Dr (so called) Scott. Is there a Doctor here anywhere here in Grapevine/Flower Mound? The children of America are in your hands. more

I finally found Dr. Right! 7/19/2007

Dr. Robert is my sons' 3rd pediatrician. Dr. Robert is the 1st one to know about Plagiocephaly, a correctable deformation if caught early. He is also the first one that doesn't just jump on the pharmaceutical train. He always avoids them unless absolutely necessary. He is the perfect mix between a medical doctor and a naturopathic doctor. He isn't afraid to use a prescription when necessary, but will avoid them if possible. He is very knowable about both practices! He has actually recommended probiotics, omega 3 and vitamins. These are items deemed unnecessary by our previous doctors. If you are concerned about vaccinations. This is the Dr. for you! He will be very patient with you. He does recommend them, but please talk to him about your concerns. He will not dismiss them, and will work with you. I know you will be happy with the outcome. Pros: Natural, child friendly waiting room, kind doctor Cons: sometimes grumpy nurses, but not all of them, not all the time more

Doctor Numero Uno!!! 7/19/2007

I've read all the reviews so far and I couldn't agree more with those who describe dr. Robert as the best doctor ever! He's all of that and more. Just to give an example of how much I appreciate him and his staff, I can tell you that it's ONLY thanks to him and his doing that I successfully breastfed both of my boys (now 5 and 7) until they were 15 months old. It was important to me to do so, but I was having so much troubles on both occasions (and for different reasons) and yet, dr. Robert helped me through it, with his sweet nature, patience, experience and understanding. If it weren't for him, I would have surely given up as so many moms (too many!) unfortunately do. I will forever be thankful to him for this and more. He's great with kids and even better with parents: my hubby and I think of him as our ""marriage counselor"" and not only our kids' doctor. Not only he's a great doctor for our boys, but he's also a wonderful man: smart, sensitive, curios and very funny (all great qualities for anyone and even more for a pediatrician). He takes care of his little patients' body, mind and spirit, if you ask me. We have no complaints whatsoever and we would feel completely devastated if we would have to change doctor for any reason. The staff is good to us as well. The nurses are always available, even over the phone and they are really good to call back and help us when we have concerns and need assistance. I never had any big problem with the doctor, the nurses or the office staff and we also like the NP very much, which we don't mind to see when the doctor is not available. We used to live right by his office but when we had to move 40 minutes away, we still kept him as our doctor and we don't mind at all, because he's worth even more than a 40 minute drive to us! I could go on and on to talk about dr. Robert, but I hope I said enough to show how grateful and lucky we are to have him in our lives. Ciao! :) Pros: Too many to mention! Cons: My hubby is jealous because he's good-looking! :P more

Best Pediatrician Ever! 6/29/2007

Dr. Robert saw my son in the hospital the day he was born and we fell in love with him since that day. Pros: Great doctor all around Cons: Staff is a little unfriendly at times more

Grumpy nurses that never smile! 4/9/2007

Dr. Robert seems to love kids but he acts like every day is the same ol routine, he was pretty rough with my infant. His office staff is pretty nice but his nurses are HORRIBLE they are not friendly at all nor do they smile! It doesn?t matter if you call and talk to them or talk to them in person, they all act like they have been doing this for 100 years and it?s just a job to them. In my opinion if you are going to be a pediatric nurse you need to LOVE kids and LOVE to be around them. Treat each kid/baby like they are just the cutest thing and make them feel safe, welcome, and assure them everything will be okay. I have a 5 month old baby and NONE of the nurses even acknowledge him when we come they just weigh him and measure his length. I think they should at least say HI or Hey buddy?something. Even though my baby cant talk he sure can smile! Pros: Dr. Robert always makes my baby smile :) Cons: Unfriendly nurses more

Does not give everyone star treatment 2/1/2007

Our experience left much to be desired. On our third appointment, I heard him talking to his nurse in the next room about our place of residence and the diagnosis he was going to give my son before he examined him or even asked me further questions! He kept reitterating how my husband would need a second job to afford the formula he suggested. We didn't even need my son to be on that formula! Incorrect diagnosis and bias based on the fact that we didn't live directly in the prominent community in which he practices. Social stature should have little to do with the treatment you receive. Dr. Scott is in the same practice, and he is more the ideal doctor. He is very up to date with current research and does not blanket diagnose or degrade. The nurses are overall very rude and the front staff is very unfriendly. Pros: Can't think of any. Cons: Biased, judgemental, not as knowledgeable as other doctors more

I haven't had good luck here in the long run 8/21/2006

My insurance company pays pretty much 100%. His office was given sufficient time on a canceled appointment (5 days - i.e. wife was sick). They still charged me $60.00 for missed appointment. Um, we called in and cancled - there is a difference people! The office is pretty much full all the time - so it obviously isn't for a lack of business. Could it be... maybe they are greedy? Pros: I don't know Cons: nursing staff, waiting time, office staff more

Best Pediatrician in the area 12/12/2005

Dr Robert is the best pediatrician in the area. He will present all possible alternatives for treatment so YOU can make an informed judgement. He is very knowledgeable and kids just love him. I would not go anywhere else with my child. He will take all the time that he needs to give you proper treatment and you will never be rushed out. I drive one hour to visit him and he is well worth the trip. He is the best pediatrician in the Metroplex. Pros: Knowledgeable, Attentionate, Listen well Cons: Difficult to get appt more

Outstanding! 11/25/2005

I swicthed doctors and Dr. Scott came highly recommended by my OB/GYN. His office staff is great! He takes lots of time with you, explains everything to you where you can understand. Sense of humor is different, but you feel comfortable with him. Great with kids. Very detailed. On time! Knows his field w/o looking anything up. Also, his office has a call in time to talk to the doctor M-F 8:30-9am He always calls you back and does everything to try to help you over the phone. I can't tell you how many co-pays this has saved me, but if you need to come in for further diagnosis then they always work you in! Also, if you have more than 1 child he can see ALL of them in the same visit. Pros: on-time, great staff, knows his field more

An MD who loves his children & yours 8/16/2005

I've been impressed with the bedside manner of Dr. Robert and his ability to get low and talk to kids to hear where it hurts. He's patient with me, while I learn when we need a doctor visit and when we don't. He's empowered me to trust my instincts and be a mother and comforter when I don't need a visit. Dr. Roberts simply LOVES children. He has 5 of his own and still chooses to work with children all day. It must take a Saint to work in an environment where your patients fear you, cry, hate you at times and still smile at them and hand them that coin for their suprise toy. Thank you Dr. Robert for making me see your compassionate nature with my children and for the free ""stuff"" on the side that makes me a better mother. Pros: Bedside Manner, LOVES children, Good at Diagnosing Cons: books up fast, waiting room full, doesn't take Champus more

The best pediatrician! 8/1/2005

Dr. Robert is equally good with children and with their parents. He's concerned and compassionate and will answer as many stupid questions as you can think up during an office visit without ever appearing impatient or hurried. His front office staff are efficient and friendly, and appointments generally run on or nearly on time. Calls for the nurses or the doctor are returned promptly and courteously. After dealing with this doctor, I can't imagine ever taking my child to another pediatrician. more

great with kids 1/3/2005

tell's it like it is, doesn't pull any punches and will answer any and all guestions. Takes plenty of time with you. Kinda has a wierd sense of humor, but is a special treat. The kids love him. Never have to wait very long to see him, runs on time which is very rare this days. Pros: runs on schedule, great with kids more
