Do not go to this place! 9/9/2008

The dimsum is lukewarm and not fresh. This place is disgusting and dirty. Don't even think about holding a wedding banquet here - they WILL rip you off, rush your party, and steal your stuff!! more

One of the worst dim sum houses around! 12/26/2007

I've been checking out the various dim sum houses in NYC and grand harmony has got to be one of the worst places to go to for dim sum. The waiters were ruse, you virtually get zero service, the bathrooms were unsanitary, dim sum was lukewarm and mediocre at best, and the vendors were unhygienic. Seriously, one of them farted right when she was passing my table, I caught one of them picking her nose and then serving food, and as the waiter was removing our dishes his sleeve literally dipped into my bowl of rice and totally ignored it. If the health inspector comes, this would be one of the first restaurants to close in Chinatown. more

AKA Happy Harmony or Grand Harmony Restaurant or Crystal Palace 4/9/2007

I asked around for a Dim Sum recommendation, and people pointed to this place though referred to it by different names. Their business card says "Grand Harmony." It is grand -- it's large, fancier looking than the small restaurants, and clean. My foreign cousins thought the flowers in the bathroom were very fancy. They have Dim Sum from carts, typical Dim Sum style. Everything was very good -- lots of delicious shrimp dishes, and also beef and pork. The Jasmine tea is very good. I was a little surprised that they don't have as many sweet things as other Dim Sum places (not that others have a lot, but we were only even offered 1 sweet item, which was nevertheless a delicious coconut cream bun). Fun place. Clean. Right in the heart of Chinatown action on Mott Street. more

Best noodles ever! 8/14/2005

This is one of the more fancier restaurants in New York City's Chinatown. At any given weekend, this restaurant will be packed full during the mornings and reserved for weddings during the night time. In my opinion, this restaurant has some of the best noodle dishes around. Everything is cooked to perfection just the way you'd like it. Try the Chicken or Beef Chow Mein, it is absolutely amazing! It's so good you'll wonder why you don't eat it more often. more
