I am not a doctor kind of person. I usually don't go to doctors and try to stay away from hospitals. So when my primary care doctor recommended a neurologist, I was worried. I was pleasantly surprised by Dr. Gould. He and his staff did their best to try to make me feel comfortable. I had to change my appointment once and the office manager was very understanding over the phone. Dr. Gould spent a lot of time with me and asked me a lot of questions. When we were done, he seemed to make an effort so that I would understand what he was saying. He was funny when I needed to relax. But he was serious when he was explaining my diagnosis and treatment options. That was another thing. He spelled out options and discussed the pros and cons of each option. I felt that I was really involved in decision making. That made me very, very comfortable. I recommend him strongly. more

I spent only 10 minutes waiting for my appointment. To my surprise, Dr. Gould came out in the waiting room to bring me back. Now when was the last time that happened to you? We sat down in a well decorated office. Didn't feel like a doctor's office. Dr. Gould spent a great deal of time listening and when I was done talking, asked a lot of questions I didn't think of. At the end of the appointment he sat me down and made sure I understood what he thought. He told me what tests he was going to order and why. He didn't think I needed medicine yes, how fresh is that. I look forward to my next appointment with him. more

I went to Dr. Gould a year or so ago and found the experience a genaric one. He managed to cover my history and test me for spinal problems. I have 3 deteriorting discs and had numbness in feet and hands. His words: ""You will just have to live with it""! Cons: many more

Although I have found the receptionist moody, I have found Dr. Gould to be a caring and personable doctor. . He makes me feel comfortable, both by his informal manner and by his competence He never rushed appointments. I have felt that I always had time to explain myself. I have a chronic condition and have seen numerous neurologists. I am happy to stay with Dr. Gould. Pros: Very helpful, easy to talk to and takes his time to explain what I need to know. more

Not only have I been there over 5 times, every time I go they have to get my information again. I have signed a release form for all of my doctors in the past SEVERAL times. Every time I show up for my appt my records are not up to date, he looses the MRI's and his office manager has the absolute worst phone ettiqute and seems very annoyed to give any information regarding anything including the fax number. I wonder who she thinks pays for her check. Customers maybe? I cant tell you how much maintenice it requires to be a patient, with no clear answers. At $400.00 an appointment I expect better service from my doctor and staff. Each time I go, I seem to see him to set a new appointment so that I can see him to set a new appointment, to find out I need a new appointment. What the hell is going on here? more

dr. gould correctly diagnosed my problem, ran some tests, and then basically said there wasn't anything to be done about the numbness. He's a very likeable guy but could not assertain the cause or treatment of my condition. more

I felt like I was in a psych evaluation rather than in a consultation. He told me all I was interested in is find the cause of my back pain....Uh yeah!! Doesn't finding the cause help you treat your pain! I was outraged how I was handled and poorly treated. The appt could have been handled totally differently. more

Dr. Gould is a very bright and caring man. I found him to be a good listener and felt that I was really heard. He proved to be an astute diagnostician and helped me solve a problem that baffled other doctors. Dr. Gould practices in a very comfortable office setting.
