Golden Gate Skateland

Please don't leave your teens here. The owner seems to be unstable. We love to skate and have skated here about 80 or 90 times in the past 3 years. Never again will I give this man our business. I have seen him scream at and send teens away in tears. I badly misjudged these teens and assumed it was their fault. Tonight I was on the receiving end of his crazy, bullying behavior. He seemed to enjoy screaming at me and humiliating me in front of a large crowd of people. Never have I been treated this bad by anyone, much less a business owner. I guess he doesn't need repeat business, there will always be a new crop of teenagers more

\r During the first weekend of summer my daughter and a friend decided to go skating. They were treated very rudely by the woman at the front desk regarding their extremely modest attire, despite the fact that teenagers the woman obviously knew,dressed in tube tops were allowed in without a word. After skating the first ""session"" they purchased tickets for the second ""session"", which only lasts an hour and costs an extra dollar. During this session my VERY petite 15 yr old was pushed down by a child racing with another child. After getting herself off the rink with absolutely NO HELP or attention from any employees my daughter and her friend went to the front desk to tell the owner they believed she had broken her arm. His response was to smirk and laugh a little and dismiss them. Upon closer inspection by another employee it was realized her arm was horribly misshappen! After a splint, open surgery to set the break and put in a rod, and two casts, she is now in another splint for 6 more weeks. Needless to say this has not been the summer she was expecting! Oh, AND she will have to have another surgery in Dec. to remove the rod. We have tried to support this local business since my children were small, but NO MORE. more

Rude people rude rude rude even that old lady I'm a minor and wanted to go back to my family lady told me no they can wait. Security guard was rude and disrespectful like the lady when I was trying to go back to my family he keep telling me to go away. As I listened to then following their orders the lady told me to get out of the building leaving my family still inside. As myself still young something could have happened to me not have any adults around to keep watch of me. ONLY THIS ELDERLY LADY WAS RUDE. Non of the others were rude most of the others were really respectful and nice. This is the last time for me going there they have just lost another customer. Hopefully the government will make another roller skate near Biloxi and Gulfport somewhere in the middle. more

Get a website. Make it possible for people to purchase gift certificates online for birthday party gifts. For someone that lives out of town/state and cannot attend a party this would be a great idea. But first, get a website. more

The kids like it, thats what matters most. The cost could be lower and the extra money for a second session is silly. It would do better to add more video games in eating area. I would recommend for a birthday party. The b-day kids are brought in the ring and the flow of everything is good. I agree it is need of a remodel inside. Still in the 70's more

Great for birthday parties. They always have a dj playing music and lots of lights and games to play for the kids. The skates are in decent condition and you can rent rollerblades or speed skates also for a small fee. more

i have been hurt do many times there. yesterday somebody shoved me into the gate. i got it on the chin and my kneecap is brised badly. the dj and evreyone else saw it. the worst part was evrey one from school was there and i was crying. so know i am scared to go skateing ever again. thanks golden gate i had a great time.NOT more

I've been going to golden gate for 20 years. I love it. Now my kids go there and they love it. They take care of the kids there. I feel safe leaving them for a bit, and picking them up. more

It is a roller rink - in a bright, yellow building, which needs remodeling badly. Although it has a lot of parking, and is conveniently located - I did not see anything there that would attract me to come again. It needs to remodel - to make it more public friendly. more
