Ask any neighboring business employee about the negative impact of this store. Most people in his area would rather not buy a book for class...

Good bookstore 8/29/2005

Although the other Goerings has the better book selection, this is a great source of magazines, from Cosmopolitan to Art Forum. English professors tend to order here. A plus of this place is not only that it is locally owned, but that they will make every effort to bring as many as the required used books for classes as possible, A quiet added cafe makes this store a good place for reading in between classes, specially now that the nearby Java Lounge has closed. more

Your alternative to Barnes and Noble 8/17/2005

This locally owned bookstore carries an excellent selection of non-mainstream fiction and non-fiction. They also have a really nice used section. Although you may not find as many discounts as in a national store, their selection is better if you want to read something else besides Stephen King. They also hold monthly poetry and book readings by local authors. more

Your source for non-mainstream books 8/1/2005

Locally owned, this place is a great alternative to Barnes and Nobles. They carry an excellent and carefully chosen selection of books, for every type of reader, and also a good used section. They also hold frequent poetry and book readings by local authors. The staff knows a lot about literature. more
