Joanna Giraud has been coloring and styling my hair for sixteen years! I drive from New Hampshire every 6 weeks for one simple reason, perfection at a reasonable cost. I have been going to Joanna and Omar for 9 years now. I have very long and thick hair. I also tend to change my look a lot from very highlighted to monotone natural brown every couple years. Anyone with blonde highlights knows this is a hard transition to make and Joanna gets it right every time, without ever sacrificing the health of my hair. I have never ever been unhappy with my hair color. I must say what I must love if that my hair is always practical. The color is always natural and the cut always classic. I have also tried Ronnie Sullivan and Seth Selman and Joanna had to fix what they did to my hair. Joanna does such a phenomenal job whether I can go every month or every three, the color always fits the maintenance and budget my schedule allows. Since I moved from Boston to New York City 2 years ago, I still make the trip every 10 weeks to see Joanna because I will not trust my hair to anyone else! Seriously, no one does blonde like Joanna-she is the master of color! People stop me on the streets of New York to ask who does my hair. One person even asked me at the steam room in my gym! I look forward to my visits to Giraud studio-not only do they do beautiful work, but feel at home and pampered. True story; I get stopped on the street and complemented on my hair a lot, and I'm almost too eager to tell them my secret. Giraud Salon! I wish I could take credit, but the cut and color they give me, is so easy to manage, and very natural looking, it makes it all too easy to have ""good hair days"". Do you ever see a child and want that hair color? The color that Joanna and Cory give, are so natural, never brassy or harsh. Joanna has a clientele that will fly to her, or have her flown to them. She?s THAT GOOD! She?s been featured in national magazines and is one of the best colorist in the country. Cory has apprenticed from her for the past 4 years and has an amazing career in front of her. And let?s not forget Omar! I will never trust my haircuts to anyone else. He can never retire! My hair has never looked better. He specializes in long and curly hair but does it all, and he's very conservative about cutting length, and will never try to talk you into something crazy or extreme. He wants the cuts that he gives to make women feel confident and beautiful. Both the hair cuts and color are done is such a way, that there?s never an ?awkward period?, it just grows out so beautifully. Lauren is always there to welcome you, get you a cappuccino and to make you feel at home; she?s just the sweetest person. Jennifer does great eyebrow waxes and always makes it a bit special, with a little facial massage bonus she always gives a little extra attention. This place rocks. First, the parking makes it easy to slip in and out without fussing over a spot to park. The ambiance of this place is perfect-- sort of chic/elegant without being snooty. Joanna is a superb colorist, managing always to cover my greys without making me look like Ive been dipped. She is a master! The staff is always cheerful and helpful and mostly I find the visits are over too quickly.! Hamilton is the place to be, well if you are at Giraud Studio. The Salon is absolutely a pleasant hair experience from the second you walk in the door. The staff is super sweet and accomadating. Joanna (owner and master colorist) has turned my orange hair mistakes to the perfect blonde several times now. If you dont like her for her art of coloring your hair, which you will, you cant help but like her for her friendly personality which comes with an english accent . Wow! Who knew South Hamilton was happening. I have been having my color done on Newbury Street for the last 20 years(plus) with Joanna and reluctanctly followed her up to the North Shore. I was more than pleasantly surprised! What a beautiful studio, from the Murano chandeliers and yummy capucinos, comfy chairs, beautiful fresh flowers and great staff - a truly relaxing experience. My biggest surprise was when I realized all the other clientele were from Boston as well! Not such a well kept secret after all - book way ahead for the care and color of your dreams... What a truely pampering experience I have had! I have followed the Giraud family from Boston, but have never experienced a facial at Giraud Studio. Upon meeting Jennifer, I knew immediately I was in good hands. She is professional, knowledgable, and nurturning. My hour and a half facial was one of pure bliss! I have had spa treatments from L.A. to London and can say with confidence that Jennifer's would be tough to beat! I come from Boston but am happy to travel to lovely Hamilton (great parking!). I would recommend anyone in need of a facial, or some time to recharge, go see Jennifer - she could be considered the best of the best... Since 1990, I have followed expert stylist and owner, Omar Giraud, from his Newbury Street salon to his new studio in South Hamilton. Being Asian and having coarse and ""difficult"" hair, Omar is the only stylist who can use his craft to make my head of hair look spectacular and professional. I have also witnessed his top-notch skills on a number of his other clients, Asians and non-Asians alike. Every snip he makes is a work of art! Omar and his wife Joanna (award-winning master colorist) are truly top stylists in Massachusetts, if not New England. WHEN I ATTENDED MY APPOINTMENT LAST SATARDAY, I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES. NOT ONLY WAS THIS EXSQUISITE CHANDELIER LIT SALON BREATH TAKING, THE STAFF WAS PHENOMINAL!!!! THE RECEPTIONIST WAS ATTENTATIVE AND OFFERED ME A CAPPUCCINO WITH A SMILE. JOANNA TURNED MY MOUSY HAIR INTO A GORGEOUS BLOND MASTERPIECE!!! LITERALLY MY HAIR WAS DAMAGED AND 3 DIFFERENT COLORS.THEIR HAIR WASHER MASSAGED MY HEAD AND RELIEVED THE KNOTS IN MY NECK, FROM A LONG DAY IN THE OFFICE. AFTER A GREAT SALON EXPERIENCE, I TREATED MYSELF TO A FEW KERASTASE HAIR PRODUCTS TO TAKE HOME. MY COMPLETE EXPERIENCE WAS ONE TO REMEMBER.
