Desperate Housewife of PA 2/19/2012

Once upon a time, we awoke to a non-operational garage door, you guessed it, a broken spring! Our cars were locked in, my husband had to drive a ""loaner"" to work. I called Girard's around 9:30am. Customer service; excellent. Christina was very patient with all my questions. By 4:30pm, Jason was ringing the doorbell. Very knowledgeable, explained in detail the problem, the solution, cost and worst case scenario if we did not repair it correctly. In the end, we had him do the additional work and the door opens/closes like a charm! Thank you for the 10yr warranty too! more

I hit my garage door. Found Girard's in the yellow pages. 2/16/2012

I am glad I did. I called at 10:30 and the tech was there at 12:30. Fixed my door quickly and was such an experienced and professional individual. Gave me some suggestions that we should certainly consider. more

What a great operation you guys have. I was very impressed by how quick your people responded and repaired our current system. Blair was awesome and did a great job. Not only was he very professional, but he laid out all of our options and was not pushy and all about the up-sale. When we do replace our garage doors and system we are definitely calling Girards. You definitely have repeat customers here! more

Excellent service & work 2/7/2012

The service was excellent. The appt. was between 12 & 2. Blair showed up exactly at noon. I was expecting to pay for a new motor but, Blair diagnosed the problem, replaced the circuit board, lubricated the various parts on the door & was finished in 1/2 hour. Girard's is the only place I intend to use for any garage door service. Thank's again more

Great Job! 2/5/2012

I had a great experience with Girard's Garage Doors. They came out the same day and was able to replace the springs and rollers. The installer James was also great. He was able to answer all my questions as well as point out some things that I should be aware of. One thing to note is the price. I believe it was a lot more than it should be. This is just by comparing prices on torsion springs at a local supplier. That being said, it was nice to just have it done and not spend hours trying to fix it. Thanks James and Girards!!! more

Better than I ever expected! 2/4/2012

Mike called before arriving with an ETA and was right on time. He was polite, respectful and very informative immediately. Mike was very matter of fact but also very willing to answer any/all of my questions. He very clearly and plainly laid out the options I had with regard to the repairs that needed to be done and then finished the job competently and efficiently with no mess left behind. I would highly recommend Girard's! more

Had a broken spring(it always breaks in the middle of the night). Called Garage Door Services, they came within the hour. James called first to let me know precisely when he would be there, told me my options, worked quickly and the job was done. this is the best contractor I ever worked with. more

Wow! 2/1/2012

Wow! What a pleasant experience! Our garage door broke- could not even manually lift the door and called the ""emergency "" number for Alan Conkling Garage Doors (they installed the door) on Tuesday (about 7 pm) and they never returned my call. There are 2 cars in the garage, many bikes, no parking in the neighborhood, so we needed it fixed ASAP. I phoned Conkling's again twice on Wednesday morning and got the run around, major attitude, need to pay for emergency service later that day, blah, blah, blah....Found these rave reviews about Girard's Garage Door Services and you were all right! The person who answered the phone said they could have a tech come over within a few hours (they were early for their appointment!) and explained the problem very clearly, gave me a fair quote, and had it fixed within an hour. Now THAT's service. Thank you! more

Attention to detail 1/31/2012

Mike came after our garage door failed to rise. He explained all options and prices. After he overhauled the door we both listened and watched the door go up and down. We heard a ping and Mike set off for another 20 minutes fine tuning the alignment. When he was done the door was more quiet than ever! more
