Traveling throughout the USA, eating at any kind of “all-you-can-eat” restaurant is spotty at best....

All reviews seem positive

This is a great place to get all you can eat sushi CHEAP!!! Now the fish is fresh but not the best most amazing quality. However, you make some sacrifices for the price. The place has a nice hot buffet with asian staples like fried rice, chicken wings and beef with broccoli. There is also a salad bar and cold seafood area with oysters and crab.\r OVERALL-great buffet and a nice way to try out different types of sushi! more

Great variety of sushi & hot entrees, excellent hibachi grill! However kid price only good on kids 10 & under, a lil pricey to pay adult price for kids 11 & 13 who eat like birds more

First off, when I first walked in with my wife, we were greeted by a very nice young lady. To our surprise, she was caucasian, but an excellent hostess nevertheless. Our waitress Bella, was courteous and very prompt in getting our drinks while we made our plates. People who came with their children did a great job in maintaining their young ones quiet and behave at the restaurant. What a delight! The decor was super and there was even a habashi grill where they will cook for you on the spot, of whatever it is you like. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly and prompt. The food is fresh and the price is quite affordable. A 10 out of 10! more

Ginza once had delicious, fresh sushi, rolls, salads all served on a spotless counter with clean serving utencils. No more; what a disappointment to return here last night with a huge appetite to find dried out rolls, unappetizing and sloppy presentation, dirty smudged utencils at the buffet, fishy and fatty tasting tuna. Need I say more other than we will not return! more

The sushi rolls were fresh and tasty. The seaweed salad and calamari salad exceptional. The cooked mussels excellent. Tempura shrimp great too. If you really like sushi and sashimi then this is the place to go. The hot dishes were limited but well prepared. The ice cream was very good. They even had red bean, green tea and the other usual flavors. The ice cream was good quality. For what they charge, we felt it was well worth it. The quality is worth the extra 7.00-8.00 they charge over the "slop houses." The restaurant was clean, had a nice atmosphere, and the table cleared quickly. **** more

I don't understand the reviews. We were visiting from out of town and decided to go here based on the reviews; it was very disappointing. There are so many other places that this just seems mediocre, at best. more

Great place for good fast food. Sushi is always fresh. They even have a grill you can have fresh stir fry made while you wait and included in price. My family likes the crab legs. My gram is 93 and likes to go here. Good for families too as they have kids food area with pizza and chicken nuggets, if they are picky. more

Been there often, never a bad meal! We think that this is one of the best in southern Fla. more

I have been to this buffet a few times now and have never been let down. I like varied and creative specialty sushi rolls, as well as tried and true rolls and sashimi. To go somewhere and be given so much fresh sushi to choose from is wonderful. This is the place. more

LOVE the restaurant! My girlfriend and I can't get enough of the place! The Hibachi grill is excellent. The cook is Hispanic but, he knows how to run a good Hibachi-style grill. The spicy tuna handrolls with the spicy mayo on them are just too good to explain! The ahi is also excellent. I would ABSOLUETLY recommend this place to any one who enjoys fresh sushi! more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 8/28/2011

Traveling throughout the USA, eating at any kind of "all-you-can-eat" restaurant is spotty at best. Typically the food is mushy, barely edible, not very fresh, and the taste leaves the pallet empty. Not to mention a lack of cleanliness and plastic diner décor. \r \r But wait! The Ginza Japanese Buffet offers fresh Sushi, hot Chinese dishes, fresh seafood and Hibachi that rivals the taste and décor of upscale fancy restaurants. And the service is plentiful, friendly, and quick. The prices are reasonable, especially the lunch buffet where locals come to enjoy a quick business lunch or a friendly family meal. The dining room is well decorated, clean and has a nice ambiance and is not too loud. What a find!\r \r The sushi bar is extremely fresh, with a wide range of rolls and sushi/sashimi made on the spot by the many ever-present master sushi chefs right behind the counter. The fresh cool salad bar includes lettuce with a delicious ginger dressing, raw squid salad, edamame, spicy seaweed cucumber, rice noodles, and many more. There is also a fresh seafood bar with lobster salad, oysters, mussels, shrimp, and Snow Crab, and a fruit bar with various melons and other fruit.\r \r For the more traditional dishes, Ginza offers a hot bar with a good selection of tempura dishes (the calamari rings are to die for!), Chinese dishes, and wonderful sautéed vegetables in delicious sauces. There is also a Hibachi grill where the chefs will cook on-the-spot any items that you choose from a wide selection of fresh meats, seafood and veggies.\r \r Is that enough? Not hardly! The ice cream and desert bar offers a wide selection of self-serve ice-cream flavors, petite cakes, cream puffs, brownies, almond cookies, fruit and more!\r \r Overall, there is something for every taste and even finicky eaters will get their fill at the wonderful Ginza Buffet! Highly recommended! more

I'm not crazy about buffets to say the least however, Ginza is yummy! It's CLEAN first of all! I was very surprised with the quality of sushi; so good. The hot foods are also delish. I have been there twice (discovered the place last week). I will be back again and again! more

Good buffet sushi. Eat here if you are a sushi amateur and want to get accustomed to the different types of sushi. Excellent lunch price and selection. Always busy = fresh sushi more

Go there about 2 times a week & it is great.\r Better Sushi at Publix?? Get real & the other comment about eating the rice with the fish. Come on common sense & decency tells you that you dont pick the fish off the rice & eat it & leave the rice more

I'm not the biggest fan of buffets but you can't beat a lunch buffet for $9.99. The food was mediocre. Service was good and the restaurant is huge! more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 10/27/2010

I have been eating sushi since 1987. It is my favorite food. I eat a lot, so I love the sushi buffets that have sprung up over the last decade or so. I eat sushi approximately 3 times a week. My favorite buffet used to be the "Crazy Buffet" , but over the years the freshness has taken a steep down turn. Also, I have to complain about the present management as well. The place isn't what it used to be. \r Now, Kyojin in Boca, I have to say is fantastic. I have no complaints. It is, however, too far to just drive to on a whim.\r Edo Sushi in Boca is quite good, as well, but also a little far from my home.\r This brings us to Ginza, which was suggested by a friend. I have been there 6 times in the last three weeks, and I'm meeting a client there today. Thus far, the sushi and sashima have been competitive with the freshest I have ever eaten. They have a nice assortment, and although spinach and avacado aren't actually sushi, I like the way they present them, as such. Another great thing about this restaurant is their $10 lunch. AND ITS FRESH!!!, so far. \r Ginza, don't change a thing. Don't follow in the footsteps of the "Crazy Buffet" and drop your quality to save money. Keep up the good work, and you'll continue to get great reviews from me and anyone that really loves sushi. more

I think Ginza has a pretty good thing going with their prices and their quality. It is a very clean place from what Ive seen, new and the wait staff is OK. They have a pretty decent selection and a hibachi and dessert area to boot, however I would put their food at about average. The price is what keeps me coming back. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 9/5/2010

$40.00 for two for chicken and broccoli and some salad from the salad bar is way too expensive. Will never come back to this place. They should have their prices posted so people don't get trapped like we did. more
