I love this place. They seriously have the nicest and most helpful staff of any clinic I've ever been to. I started coming here in 2008 after my dog had a bad vaccination reaction...

Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital and Dr. Melissa are the best! I have taken all 3 pups there for a variety of medical problems and surguries and the care has always been excellent, the offices spotless and the staff very responsive. Everyone there is caring and compassionate, my pups are always wagging their tails and happy when they go in - and my 3 are not the most social of pups :)\r \r I live in Ft Leonard Wood area, and while the vet care is okay for vaccinations and routine checkups - they do not have any specialty care that I trust my pups to. With my pups having severe allergies, seizures, dental problems, neurological issues, behavioral issues and random growths - they definitley need a higher level of care. Even though it is a 2 hour drive to St. Louis, I gladly take the time to go there. I can't put a price on my peace of mind - knowing that my pups are being monitored and taken care in the best place possible.\r \r I can't thank them enough for all they do for my little pups and will continue taking them back there as much as they need! You couldn't choose a better place to have to take care of your pet family. more

Gentle Doctor is the BEST Animal Hospital. The entire staff is so friendly from the moment you step foot in the door. Dr. Melissa will go above and beyond to make sure you are informed. She removed a cancerous tumor from my dog Maverick over a year ago and he has been doing great ever since. My coworker also went there and had a different doctor who she loved as well! She called her several times ""freaking out"" about routine issues and her doctor was always happy to answer her questions and concerns after her puppies got fixed. You will have a great experience with this team! They will love your pets like they love their own! more

Absolutely horrible. I took my pup in for an emergency pancreatitis and spent 3-5 minutes with the actual Dr.. The rest of the time I spoke only to the vet tech. Everything was poorly translated from vet tech who at one point said my dog had a good chance of dying and after my hysterical breakdown, she talked with the Dr. and came back saying it was all o.k. she ""misunderstood"" what the doctor had said. The fact that the vet spent 5 minutes with me also let me know she could care less. Because I had taken my dog there for years for annual shots I did not even consider taking her somewhere else. I left her there overnight - in which case they are not open 24 hours so my poor dog sat in a cage and if she would have died would have died alone with no help. The next day I was told she stepped on her IV line ""sometime"" in the night and was not getting her medication, since she had been completely alone for 12 hours they did not know when it happened... and PS she peed all over herself because she had not been out. \r I immediately pulled her out of that hospital and took her to Elm Point in St. Charles. They were compassionate and helped immediately. The vet answered all my questions and there is an actual vet tech there all night to make sure they are receiving medicine and are taken to the bathroom. Thank God for Elm Point Animal Hospital to relieve me from the most miserable experience of my life. more

I love this place. They seriously have the nicest and most helpful staff of any clinic I've ever been to. I started coming here in 2008 after my dog had a bad vaccination reaction due to another clinic not doing what they were supposed to. They fixed the problem and helped me out a lot. I have been bringing all of my other animals as well as Buddy (the dog who was messed up) ever since and it has always been an amazing experience! more

BEST PLACE EVER!!!! I have been taking all of my animals here since they first opened! they are amaxzing. they have a great staff, awesome doctors, and can help with anything and everything I could possibly need. My animals are taken care of so well there. Their proces are VERY reasonable and they do a thorough and amazing job everytime. I would recommend this animal clinic to anybody anyday!! very friendly environment 10/22/2008

ever since i found this place, it's where i always go to have my cat checked up. the front desk helps me with all my questions either when i stop by or call, and if possible answers them and gives me what i need for her instead of having to come back and make an appointment. very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. more
