Genie Car Wash

Once again Genie comes thru and knocks it out the park! I have been coming here for the last four years and it shows. My Honda still looks wonderful. I can't seem to understand the reviews on here. I have had minor issues with them, but I always inspect my car before I leave. The time i did have a problem they quickly corrected it. I have problems most places I go, but i address them at that time with the proper attitude and I'm always taken care of. more

HORRIBLE I purchased a groupon for a full service car wash and took my car to get cleaned about 2 weeks ago. The service was ok and the wait was long but I guess I got what I paid for $40 instead of close to $90. It gets worse...This morning as I left my apartment, I found that my car had been towed because I didn't have a permit displayed. Not only did they remove my permit but it is no where in my car. I had to pay $200 for the tow truck, get a new permit and I was 2 hours late to work. I will NEVER return. more

Took my SUV there for a wash and detail. I told the guy what i wanted to spend on the wash but he kept pushing all these other add ons that were making it ridiculously expensive. Took about 15 mins longer than they said, ok no big deal the chairs were comfortable... Didn't have time to look over the job since i was in a rush and thought - hey for $65 surely the job is decent. Well got home and noticed one side had spots all over it, as though it was totally untouched. To top it off, the front desk was rude and not very helpful. I don't recommend. trying H20 down the street next time. more

I brought my brand new BMW to do the car wash. The person there asked me whether I wanted a ""handwash"" or not. I asked whichever is the safest, and the person said the ""handwash,"" so I decided to go with that. Then he gave me a paper and just ask my name and to sign on it.. He never asked for my phone number or the warranty information. Then, he asked me to wait on the reception area. Cons: Terrible job, bad service, bad price more

My dog vomited in the car today, and I admit it was a nasty job for anyone. However, after paying close to 200 dollars for a full interior detail and waiting 2 hours in the waiting room, I got into my car to find dog vomit still covering the sides of the seats, my shift stick, and around my cup holders. Not to mention, they didn't bother to vacuum the trunk, dust the console, or wipe the dash! Also, I found old nose prints from my dog on the window and hair still covering the floor mats. What exactly did I pay for?! I recommend to any pet owner faced with a nasty car, or anyone just looking for a cheap and thorough detail to go to Mister Car Wash in Austin. But first clean up the vomit as best you can, because they do not handle hazardous material there. You will be much more satisfied with the service and the amount you'll dish out. LESSON LEARNED! Don't come here expecting any kind of a deal. Coupons are worth almost nothing, and labyrinthine pricing enables aggressive upselling. Took over 1.5 hours for them to wash my car. Unacceptable. more

There is no list of services and prices in sight when you arrive at this car wash. The man who approached my car window (after I had been waiting in line for about 1/2 an hour) was impatient and impolite as I asked him questions about costs of services. I ended up paying almost $100 to have my car washed and hand waxed (even though I did not request a hand wax) and it looked like garbage. There were streak marks all over it and wax residue remained on my car until I had it washed again a month later. This car was has poor service, did a poor job, and this awful experience took over two hours. Pros: location Cons: everything else more

Have been there three times. On my last visit to the WIlliam Cannon location, they stole my purse along with my checkbook and credit cards. Austin PD didnt really care too much, well they felt bad for me but basically told me it was my word against their's. So I had to cancel all my credit cards, my checkbook, have no money for about two weeks, and am out a very expensive purse. To top it off, it was the worst car wash I have ever gotten, even for them. The only reason I go there was because it was quick and cheap. They left white hand marks all over my leather seats, didnt even vacumm the back seat, but hey who can blame them when they were more concerned about making sure I didnt see that they took my purse! STAY AWAY! Im not the only one too! I told a few people what happened and I quote - ""Oh I have heard about stuff coming up missing from that place a million times, change, cash, credit cards, cameras, cell phones....etc!"" Very impressed with Genie Car Wash. Well worth the money. I take my animals in my vehicle with me quite frequently and thus get animal hair on the upolhostry. At the end the attendant noticed a spot that was missed (I could barely see it) and redid it. I think his name was Mike. Very friendly people. Will go back there for sure. Pros: 2 thumbs up more

Have been going there frequently and usually pretty good for a quick car wash, however, can be really slow at times, especially during lunch time. I asked about a full detail several months ago and got the hard sales pitch to pre-pay and get a better deal. I bought it and went back in a few months later only to find out that it expires in 60 days! Beware, they never mentioned it and put my receipt that had the 60 day expirationin a sealed envelope . I think they do a good job of running cars through in masses and prices are good, but service is not their strong suit. more

This location is the best I've seen. Always efficient and friendly! The managment is wonderful, when I had a question about the price..he was very helpful..and understanding. Will be going back for sure!!!!!!!!! Pros: Friendly and fast more

That was hands down the worst car wash experience ever! They didn't clean what they said they would. I had to ask them to ""reclean"" the seats, that were muddier than when I drove in. I had to go back twice to get them to clean the cream fabric interior that they turned black along the edges. To boot, I felt covered and dripping in armor all by the time I got home....so, since I was already dirty at this point, I recleaned the whole interior myself. Seriously! more

Every once in a while at lunch time I take my car to Genie, even though every time I leave I tell myself that I will never go back. There is always something wrong with the quality or lack there of that I receive. Today I went againt my better judgement, I was sitting on the bench eating my lunch when my car came out of the wash got pulled up to be finished. He started drying the outside, opend the doors and started the windows, he then leaned down to my tires put the towel on the ground to get the cleaner picked it back off the dirty ground cleaned the rear bumper, the tires and then he reached inside my car (with the same towel) and started doing the interior. I was really mad, I went inside to say something to the manager and he or she was gone, and all that anybody did was come look at my car and ask me if it was okay? Of course it is not okay I said. I failed to mention that it was not okay this time, or last time when I left and the grill of my car was untouched, or the time before there was more pieces of towel all over my car and I paid for the rims to be cleaned and they were still dirty. I had my car detailed for $150 and it definately was not worth it. There was still dirt and water spots on my car. My trunk was not vaccumed, which most place do vaccum. The interior was nice but you could tell they cleaned it in a rush. Also, my mirrors weren't cleaned. I've had my car detailed for $100 and it was a much better job.
