I received a text at 6:45 AM that Christian was on the way. He arrived about 7:20 AM. I had asked for a 7AM - 9AM time frame as I have a doctors appointment at 11 AM. He immediately started checking the thermostat and furnace. Found a issue in the furnace end of it. He then went outside and id a major checkout of the compressor. Again, he found a few issues. The unit I own is 19 years old and the repairs needed would be a little shy of $2000. I decided, since the unit is keeping us comfortable to wait and see, knowing that a new AC unit is in our future. Christian was polite, and professional. He was very understanding of the situation and respected our wishes to wait. He is very personable and I have asked that he be our primary tech. more

installed new heater/ac system 6/2/2018

I called the General when my air conditioning unit failed. A tech showed up the same day and reviewed all of my options. My house is old and needed an entire new ac/heater system. The next day, a team of 4 specialists arrived right on time. Six hours later, I had a brand new energy-efficient system. These specialists at the General are the best techs I have ever hired. They were all polite, hard-working and their expertise was obvious. They worked continuously until the job was done and cleaned up quite nicely. From my initial phone call to the General, everything proceeded like clockwork; and by 2 p.m. the following day, my new system was up and running. I’m so glad I made the decision to go with General AC. Very very thorough, polite and above all other companies I have used in the past. My plumber Daniel was extremely kind and explained everything to me in a simple fashion. He did not PUSH any other service on me. He did explain some future preventative fixes that may be necessary in the near future. The representatives that call you before the tech arrives are amazing. I especially like when they answer the phone. They say “ Good afternoon, General Ac and Plumbing, this is ?????name, how can I make your day. I LOVE THAT. more

Christopher impressed by being on time, placing booties over his work, shows and taking time to answer questions satisfactory. He inspected air-conditioning components both internally and externally thoroughly and in a timely manner. Next time the air conditioner needs servicing I will be asking for him. more

Semi annual service check 1/16/2018

Technician David T went straight to work and completed the job within the two hour estimate he gave at the start. On finishing he reviewed the status of both of my systems and made recommendations for upgrades to one based on his findings. He also made sure my bluetooth linked control system was still linked to my mobile phone app. David was very professional and took pains not to track in dirt and debris. Highly recommended. more

General AC Never Disappoints 9/14/2017

Just concluded the purchase of a new HVAC unit with Service Pro Vincent J. Vincent made the whole process easy to understand, he was professional and very through. He spent ample time to survey the job site and plan for the installation. He carefully discussed the various AC unit solutions and costs. The whole process was very smooth. I've been with the General for about 7 years and wouldn't think of using another AC service provider. Thanks Vincent! Great job. more

Tim D Fantastic Tech 8/19/2017

Tim came to my place to solve a problem that had been going on with my Lennox AC for a couple week that stymied a couple other technicians. His approach was methodical and based on his clear understanding of ALL aspects of HVAC systems. He hung in there, trying multiple different approaches to diagnosing the problem until he finally found the problem (bad tstat wire running through attic). He's the absolute best HVAC tech I have ever had...we need more Tims!! more

Ryan was on time, friendly and professional. Our units are on the roof. It was very hot and humid but no complaints came from him. He checked and thoroughly cleaned our air conditioner and evaporative cooler, checked the thermostats and changed the filter. We appreciated the time and care he took for us. more

Installation of tankless water heater and larger gas line 7/8/2017

Kyle Silva was the plumber/technician who did the work, Kyle was courteous, knowledgeable, very hard working - in our garage in very hot weather. We could not have been more pleased with the result. General is a little pricey, but the service is worth it in our opinion. General is lucky to have an employee like Kyle representing them and we were very lucky to have Kyle assigned to do our job. more
