This place has great caribbean soul food and it's CHEAP. I just hope more people find out about this place so they don't close. I guess they've always done a good lunch business, but now they're open for dinner. Located right next to the Grand Opera House... it looks like a storefront on the outside, but trust me, the restaurant in the back is cozy with live jazz on the weekends... food is AMAZING. Simple but delicious and very affordable. A nice alternative to a pricey dinner at 821 .. much more chill and casual, but still romantic (nice linens, candlelight). This place is empty and it's a shame because there's no reason for it. (they need to do a little PR or marketing to get the word out). I'm doing my part. GO HERE! You won't regret it! Pepper steak, curry chickent to die for! And good desserts (they are a bakery, after all). Bar has a nice selection, including Red Stripe (of course).
