It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at goo.gl/FPxYD They have some of the best hotel deals on the web!

Worst

Please remember they are going to charge you 10 bucks to park no matter if you are a guest or a visitor. Decidedly NOT a free attraction. Parking is plentiful, not at a premium ...

This carpet's supposed to be red?? 12/31/2002

Paid for 2 nights stay for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. No one assisted with luggage. My dad was given a luggage cart so he could be his own bellhop. He asked for a wheelchair for my mom who has a hard time walking long distances. The ""courtesy desk"" gave him a phone extension to call. He called the # and it was disconnected. Went back and they found and dialed a different # then handed my dad the phone. The person answering said he'd bring one to them, but an hour later, still no wheelchair. They finally got to their room 2.5 hours later when another guest gave them GOOD directions to their room. This was very disappointing that my 74 year old father had to to go through this ordeal with his 65 year old disabled wife. Cheap looking/feeling room for the price. Great place for a get away 12/26/2002

Ive stayed at the Opryland hotel on Thanksgiving Weekend on two different occasions. The place was beautiful, the rooms were nice and clean and there wasnt a bunch noise when I was trying to sleep. Pros: clean rooms, good food Cons: small bathtubs, easy to get lost more

Great Place 12/15/2002

Of course i've never stayed there but i've heard that its very good but.... Just for the overall, Everytime i've been there its been great.. I usally go before christmas when they decorate but anytime this place is beautiful... Huge jungle like garden, Classy feel... And the best thing was the Piano player, he was very nice and an excelent player.. Very nice Pros: Beautiful, Classy, Relaxing more

A trillion lights 12/10/2002

This is just about the tackiest thing I've ever seen, but it's impossible not to be amazed by the spectacle, with waterfalls, boat rides and revolving bars all inside this garish uber-structure. Tip for people just coming to gawk: Park at Shopry Mills for free and walk to the hotel. It's even more of a spectacle in the later evening and in December. more

What Service? 12/5/2002

Service? Is that why I waited in line in my car for 25 minutes just to get out at the lobby and have to carry my own bags in? Not to mention the 45 minute wait at the registration only to find my two rooms I had reserved MONTHS earlier weren't what I requested NOR were they anywhere in the vicinity of each other. This is a beautiful place, but all I found myself doing the entire stay was getting in line for something and paying out big bucks for everything there! Cons: Expensive Parking, Long Lines more

The common areas are gorgeous; however the rooms are reminiscent of a bad 70's Holiday Inn - definitely NOT worth the price. Also, although my room had been paid in full prior to arrival, the desk clerk obtained authorizations on my VISA check card which have tied up over $900 from my bank account. When I called to have the problem resolved, I got a recording which has promised a call back within 2 business days. Only way I'll stay here again is if they offer it to me for free. more

Gaylord Opryland Sucks! 11/29/2002

I have never had a worse experience than at Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville. Two years in a row they gave away our room even though we had reservations and paid in advance. The staff was incompetent and unconcerned with our dilema. I will never give any Gaylord enternatinment company my business again. Pros: Beautiful Cons: expensive, crowded, poor service more

This is a great place to explore with your partner. It has so many differnt things to choose from for dining, activities or just people watching. The Cascade area is very romantic as well as refreshing. The Delta area has a great southern feel, Walking through the Conservatory is almost like having your own Victorian garden. Gaylord opryland hotell is very amazing. The service, quality, and rooms are absolutely amazing! Out of 2,881 rooms, they are still able to keep everthing running perfectly, and the gardens and the overall appearance of the hotel are absolutely fabulous! more

I just went there with my parents for a convention. The service was very good, the food at the restaurants was just ok. The room was kind of stuffy and gave me bad allergies and the tv was not working properly. Other than that the hotel is really nice, I would rather just visit the hotel and stay somewhere else. You can get very easily lost and there is no one there to assist you. more

I recently attended a conference at the Gaylord REsort and the staff, setup and convenence of all seminars was incredible. Beautiful but.... 8/22/2002

This hotel is very impressive and beautiful, and the staff is very informative and friendly. But I would have rather gone to the Comfort Inn, used the seven hundred dollars saved from staying there and bought myself a lovely piece of jewelry as a momento from my vacation. They have the nerve to charge you for parking. (I hate when expensive hotels nickel and dime you to death) When you leave the grounds, then you get a REAL account of what life in the south is all about. If you like vacationing in a plastic bubble, then this is the place for you. Pros: Beautiful, Friendly Staff Cons: Pay for Parking?, expensive, Too much walking more

Providing excellent service, the friendly staff of Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center is ready and anxious to please. With an atmosphere of a welcoming home, one feels very much appreciated and respected. The hotel is truly immaculate with beautiful live greenery, waterfalls and fountains throughout. The numerous restaurants and cafes offer a tremendous variety of food choices to satisfy any appetite. Offering the gamut of fine dining to food court dining, the hotel can accommodate any budget. more
