Best

Garduno's is the best restaurant for tourists and diners with a preference for mild/medium authentic new mexican food. Not for advanced taste buds, but a great place for beginner...

Worst

I don't get it. This place consistently has the worst food of any Mexican restuarant in ABQ. I guess the ambience and the drinks must make up for it. They do have great ambience a...

horrible experience at Albuquerque airport 3/5/2009

burned fajitas, raw chicken salad, manager Jeanine. Was very rude, SLOW service. I will eat anywhere but here in future. more

Still Attractive, But Rather Skimpy Portions...Overpriced as a result. 11/14/2007

Garduno's used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Albuquerque. I've eaten over the years in each of the city's offerings, and have found the ""quantity"" of food to have gradually decreased, while the ""quality"" is still there. Our last venture out was to Garduno's on Academy, and we ordered two Taco Salads, w/seasoned beef. One should not have to hunt for the beef, hidden in trace amounts under the lettuce leaves! For the price, the most disappointing Taco Salad I've ever had in Albuquerque. Their margaritas however are among the best in town, so we didn't feel too bad after our visit. :-) The interiors are also beautiful, and the ambience excellent. A nice place to take out of towners who don't know the best in New Mexican food. Pros: Ambience is excellent Cons: Portions have been shrinking more

Way overrated! 10/22/2006

I don't get it. This place consistently has the worst food of any Mexican restuarant in ABQ. I guess the ambience and the drinks must make up for it. They do have great ambience and great drinks and a wonderful happy hour with drink specials and free food. Just don't get so happy that you stay around for dinner. Pros: Ambience, drinks Cons: The Food more

Great for beginners! 5/7/2004

Garduno's is the best restaurant for tourists and diners with a preference for mild/medium authentic new mexican food. Not for advanced taste buds, but a great place for beginner/intermediate connoisseurs. They have the best Mexican rice I've ever tasted - I've lived in Albuquerque 22 years and have only recently mastered their recipe for rice. It's outstanding! Wonderful atmosphere, good prices, peppy service, and great drink specials. It's an Albuquerque must-visit. Thank you, Garduno's for spreading the flavors of New Mexico around our nation! You make us proud! Pros: great service, great drinks, kid friendly! more

Personal Experience 9/24/2003

If you haven't had Garduno's margaritas or Ranch Dressing, you are missing a wonderful treat. Living in Ohio I don't get a lot of opportunity for authentic Mexican food and I loved both of my experiences at Garduno's in Albuquerque. Pros: Service, Value, Decor more

Best of Taste 2/1/2003

I visited Garduno's back in 2001. And I can not begin to even start modestly with a comment. If you haven't been there do not hesitate. The restaraunt serves up some of the best Pisole I have ever tasted. It was not too spicy just right. And the service was let's say mere excellence. Pros: Easy to find, nearby shopping, festive decor more
